Is that guy really a "fundamentalist"? His fundament can't be the Bible anyway, because it doesn't say anywhere that autism is a demonic possession, nor that Jesus exorcised an autistic person.

Does this have anything to do with the previously posted case of "Eddie Uyesugi"?

With a search of books-dot-google for "Eddie Uyesugi", the "Indianapolis Monthly" - Jan 2008 - page 97, has a moderately detailed report about an exorcism for driving out autistic demon spirits.

I have a love-hate relationship with church, and frankly Christianity because of past experiences. I'm hard of hearing. Before I found out that I was on the spectrum, I used to attend church and get my ears prayed on with olive oil to heal them. I accept that I'm hard of hearing and feel no need to be healed from it, I believe this is what God made me to be.

I suffer from depression, while it is in control now, when it was pretty bad and I somehow trekked to church, I was accused of "wanting" to be depressed, not praying hard enough, or I just needed to "snap" out of it. Very hurtful. One even told me she "suffered" from it, which was even more hurtful because she tells me at the end (when I sporadically attended church) and thought if I followed her way, I would get out of it. Whatever. This church was Pentecostal-based so I'm pretty sure they thought I had demons, lol. No one there, even the Pastor, was willing to understand/help me through my issues because they believed *I* needed to get myself out of it.

Then found out that I'm on the spectrum, told her, in hopes of her finally understanding who I really am, and got brushed off, for good. I left the church. From reading on WP, I realized that she was my mother hen. I so needed that NT friendship because I finally understood myself and knew what my specific needs were and she could have helped.

it's not like the kid has any REAL disability such as down syndrome,in a wheel chair,etc,etc. THE DAM 'human being' is unable to 'feel,be natural', there's no normal, but autism it out of it all, why is it then?. Maybe, it truly is demon possion, but the people with autism can't get a god dam life and f*****g cop on.
