Being an Aspie is like being a foreigner. Regardless whether I'm born and grew up in the native's land, I cannot possibly never will be like them. Instead of growing up with the flow and instinct, but instead, it's like learning a second language.

Yes, just like aliens stuck on another planet and never able to go home...

Being blind, but in regard to social cues and behavior. Some blind people say they can get an "image" in their head of a room they're familiar with, or a face they feel. However, they never actually see those things, just like I can never really "see" an emotional exchange between most people, even though I can fake my way through many interactions due to lots of prior experience. I've bumped into enough "furniture," so to speak, but haven't seen it.

I feel like a computer running on Power/PowerPC CPU in a world where everyone else is running on x86 CPUs (Intel/AMD/ARM)

I'm forced to execute x86 instructions sets, which aren't natural to me...

Planning everything ahead so if something unfortunate were to happen it lessen the blow..

Right now I just had to fill out some forms to be sent to Arkansas continue my children disability (Done every 7 years for my case I guess which could continue as is or upgrade it). I felt conferrable from what I wrote down and mailing it in, all I know is if it goes south its all over for me...and have nothing to lessen the blow, no back up plan. If it happens I would go into full panic mode and might have a melt down.

I heard from other people its not a big deal and its sort of hard to red flag yourself to be put in that situation unless you try to. But my luck is not the best and always fails me when I really need it. So for those religious folk out there (Don't care what religion) I could use some prayers. I greatly Appreciate it.

is like constantly generating frustration and confusion from nobody ever understand what you are saying and being laughed at for slow in "reading between the lines".

It's like competing in a game you don't even know exists.

I also like the person who said I can do literally the exact same thing as everyone else and get the opposite reaction, especially among peers. Example: Most sports teams congratulate each other after a win. I did this with my softball team and had a guy throw a metal bat at me and everyone acted like they didn't even see it. If I were to do that I would be lucky just to be banned for life.

For me it is feeling like a being from another world, sent to this one without being told why and just making the best of it.

A well beloved - intense focus which permits me to find answers to questions nobody else asks.
I choose to be an aspie ... most of the time anyway.

Being from a different culture no one is aware of.
