Question for all of you fast talkers:

Are you visual thinkers? If so, are you fast talkers because you go from one picture to a whole sentence and then spit it all out at once? I'm just theorizing here because I speak slowly because I'm always rearranging words in my verbal brain.

Yes...I assume by this you mean building a mental picture as well as having somewhat of a photographic memory?

I've never actually thought about my thought process, but now that you've mentioned it I think I do...I suppose that's why I can base a conversation around my own thoughts and interests because I cycle between images/pictures/memories in my head that give me an idea of what else to talk about.

I speak fast and quiet, or else too loud.

My entire life has been a comedy of people either telling me 'Shh!' or 'What did you say?'

Once I get on a roll about an interest I just natter on at a million miles a minute. I also stutter very predictably on certain word-sounds, which leads to some frustrating situations where I'm desperately trying to talk and can't.

This is generally why I don't talk unless I really have to.

^^This, although I get 'Shh!' not for loudness, but for talking apparently at the wrong times. :)

I tend to talk fast when I'm really nervous and then I start stumbling over my own words. lol

Not only do I speak way too fast (mainly because of where I was born) but also am told I mumble as well, usually quite rudely like I'm intentionally being a jerk. Try as I might, I always end up speaking incredibly fast.
