I was recently told by a girl with AS that I'm a sexy beast and have a cute face, not sure if this means anything significant for this thread.

It's our morality and our personalities and our general good nature that make us beautiful on the outside. Yes aspies are generally more attractive

Yeah, no. I don't think I'm attractive at all!

Eh, I've always found myself ugly no matter what I try to do. I guess losing weight has helped(went down to 180 from 250 in the past year, but still have a ways to go), and growing out my beard has helped me look a little less "boyish", but I can't help but feel I still look...undesirable?

Though I should note that I'm glad that I have yet to be going bald, as my brother, father, and his brother and father and every other male in his family has gone through so far.

Maybe "attractive" (but socially awkward) aspergians just breed more successfully than "ugly" (and equally socially awkward) aspergians. Well... if asperger's is inherited then that might make some sense(?)
On a seperate but related line: How many people here with asperger's has a parent with aspergers? (or suspected)

I consider myself "average" looking. Though I look decades younger than i am now..
I've gotten "Cute" once or twice from females. Not often..

I know SOME people go wild about my looks, personally I never got it. When people want to take a picture of me, I go posing like an idiot, because I don't know how to pose properly and then they go omg that's such a great photo, they show me it and I go :help: :eew: on the inside. Thinking back about some of the photos I'm in, I find myself looking like a real arrogant/narcissistic person and somehow I think that's the thing they like so much about my looks. Women...

I get complemented on my looks with some regularity. Generally its "attractive", "beautiful" but most often it is "pretty". I don't much care for any of those descriptors, as I am male....

My appearance has been described in detail as angelical, otherworldly, ethereal, and one of my aunts used to refer to me as the family Taltos (creature from anne rice books) etc. I'm not sure what exactly it is about my appearance that warrants those descriptors, my self image seems to vary greatly from most observers, as I don't think there is anything noteworthy about my face, except maybe my eyes, I quite like their coloration pattern.

I also look at least 10 years younger than I am. That is not an exaggeration. I've wondered if I'm not actually simply younger than I am on paper...but I digress. I've aged slowly, I think, somehow, gauging from age related benchmarks, all my permanent teeth came in years later than they should have, including wisdom teeth, which only came in (and subsequently removed) this last year. I didn't start puberty until late teens, and by every indication am still very much in the middle of it, despite being nearly 30. I didn't stop growing in height until ~26. I have very little discernable body hair (just the peach fuzzy stuff), cannot grow facial hair (a few hairs grow now, and are very slowly increasing in number...I'm close to being able to grow a wispy goatee, not that I will)... I used to be highly annoyed by this quality of youthfulness, as it interfered with career goals, but am beginning to appreciate it more as I get older.

All that is anecdotal I suppose, but it is curious to ponder. I'm of the opinion there is an aspie look, because I've noticed it, and while it isn't universal, it is with enough frequency to warrant attention...

Aspergers spans across many spectrum's,
physical appearance being one of the more obvious.

I don't think that I'm completely repulsive, but not really good looking either. I've been told that I was in the "cute" department when I was younger. But my inability to produce all the appropriate warbles, grimaces and secret handshakes creeps people out, so it doesn't really matter how I look.

I've noticed that too. But when some neurotypicals see that an Aspie behaves very weird despite being good-looking, they either stay away from that person or take advantage.
I've been called beautiful many times but I just don't see it. Sometimes I do see it but that depends on my self-esteem. When guys flirt with me, I don't know what to say and I can't make eye contact. At home, I know I'm not that good-looking cause I wear pajamas and don't worry too much about my looks, it disappoints my mom. I don't even understand why girls are obsessed with make up.

I used to get called handsome (I didn't see it) but girls did show interest (I usually missed this as well) and suppose all of them couldn't have lost there guide dogs. Of course they soon run away as they feel there's something odd about me. They've told my mates quite often that I come across as intelligent, witty and charming (not sure of their sanity) but there's something wrong with him. Provides endless entertainment for my friends especially the sociologist.

PS from what I've seen there are a lot of attractive/handsome aspies (including on the site/you tube but don't know how typical these are).

PPS Yes i'm sort of ginger

I've thought about this. I actually put a photo of my hubby up on Hot or Not and he got a 9.2! However, people in real life who have actually talked to him do NOT think that he's attractive at all (I guess because of what comes out of his mouth and the way that he walks?). This works out for me though because I love what he says and can totally relate to him, and I think that he's a perfect 10! :D
