Whilst I become easily overwhelmed and anxious in overstimulating and foreign environments, I seldom seem to get angry. Should I be concerned by this?
For instance, I am often verbally abused by my mother and niece, but it's hard for me to react with any real emotion as I believe their admonishments and insults are usually justified. The majority of the time I appear to be impervious to criticism.
Is it common for those on the spectrum to be labelled such terms as "sluggish", "slow", "passive", "ret*d", "soft", "nonchalant", "easy-going", "lazy", "insensitive", "dopey" etc?
Whilst I acknowledge some of those examples are not necessarily of a derogatory nature, they are not, to my knowledge, usually associated with autistic individuals. If anything, I seem to fit the criteria of someone with inattentive ADHD rather than autism. Unless of course I am just a complete dimwit, which had crossed my mind...
