I'm sensitive to Citalopram,...Just curious, do you have a preferred drug of choice? :)

No not really. It was the first medication I'd been on in about 30 years, so I can't remember what the last lot were called. Must have been pre SSRI days. Never again.

I'm still taking that stuff...no effect whatsoever. And I don't think that the doctor gave me a placebo...

My doctor told me it would take between 10 days and 2 weeks for it to kick in, and recently I haven't had any serious anxiety attacks but I think that's due to a a slight change in circumstances rather than the drug. I just think I had a lucky relaxed few days but I'm still anxious thinking about when this lucky streak will end and things go back to normal.

Yesterday I was prescribed this by my doctor to treat anxiety and I hadn't heard of it before.

Has anyone else here ever been prescribed this drug?

I was given it for depression. I didn't like it, so I don't take it. I fill the prescriptions, tell the doctor that is works fine but I don't trust these drugs that one day end up on comercial with lawsuits saying, "if you or someone you know has died from taking this drug..."

Like a flashgun going off inside your head and you'd swear your brain physically twitched... 8O

Wow! I had that and didn't relate it to the drug. I even googled chi chi sound in my brain. LOL

It was the first anti depressant I tried. I didn't have too bad side effects, at least not compared to some other meds I've been on.
It did help some, but wasn't very effective despite a very large dosis.
Still, anything that helps with suicidal depression is good. I need to find a new shrink cause I'm currently without meds and not doing well at all.
