I believe they are currently writing the script for it. I can't wait!

Apparently, it will be focussed on a disease that is spreading through the island.

I know a mammoth is a mammal and lived among us, but some news I heard today makes it seem like Jurassic Park might become a reality some day. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-16068581 :? :D  :o :( 8O

That's interesting.

But I highly doubt dinosaurs will be cloned anytime soon, if at all, because fossilization breaks down almost all DNA, leaving just mineral matter, and there is no way we could make dinosaurs "Jurassic Park style" as blood sucking Mosquitoes only started to appear about 50 million years ago - 15 million years after the extinction of the last non-avian dinosaurs.

Sorry to be such a killjoy. :P

I have Doctor Who toys...like, a toy Sonic Screwdriver that lights up, and a little windup Dalek. Lol.

Honestly, there are 60 year old guys still sitting in basements playing Dungeons and Dragons every weekend, wearing robes and plastic swords, and you think playing with dinosaurs is weird?

Let's not forget all the people on YouTube who actually make videos of playing with action figures...

Oh and Robot Chicken! That's a whole studio of people playing with action figures and making millions off it!

Well, I'd say that it is and it isn't normal. I'd also conjecture that more adults than let on like to do childish things. Look at the number of adults that play video games online or on tv. Those were originally intended for children and young teens. Now, you have adults playing them.

Ever go to a park and see adults on the swings or merry go round? Adults on carnival rides? Adults playing in swimming pools? Adults playing laser tag or paint ball? Those are all kid things that adults do and seem perfectly acceptable. Look at the number of adults that collect toy trains and play with them, although it's not considered play. The number of adults that collect dolls as well, or vintage toys, or even Star Wars stuff.

Another childish thing that lots of adults like to do is color. I love to color. I actually spent a lot of time (and money) while I was staying with my Mother these past two weeks on markers and velvet posters to color. She has no internet, won't watch anything on tv that I can stand, and I can only read so long until I get a blinding headache after about six straight hours of it. So, coloring it was.

I'd also point out the number of adult women who have stuffed animals on their beds and actually sleep with them or use them for comfort. Another childish thing that's completely acceptable.

I'd lump the dinosaurs in with all that if I were you. If it's fun, do it.

I'd only say it was unusual for your age if you assigned feelings and emotions and sentience to them like some kids do with their toys.

I have to agree with the person above me. It's very hard to define activities and products by age brackets.
Heck, for games often written off as "childish", many adults play Super Mario and Pokémon
and lastly, due to the astronomical rise in the cost of living and the economy going down the crapper,
many men and women still live at home with their folks (another thing which is commonly frowned upon in western culture).

I am considering becoming a paleontologist after I become a marine geologist so I can get payed to play with dinosaurs while at the same time not be looked at weird because in the career field it is socially acceptable. :D And if Jurassic park became a reality it would be double awesome!! ! I want them to bring back T-Rex!! He is my favorite.

My gf caught me playing with my nephew's old toy cars. Making "vroom-vroom" noises and everything.

I'm 30.

I'm not gonna tell you you're not weird. But at least you're not the only one.

Re-enact Jurassic Park, with lasers.

I don't know you, nor am I a professional, but you seem a bit delayed. Not because you play with toys, it's just you seem to have trouble spelling. Keep enjoying your hobby don't worry about being normal.
