I've never liked it, it seems almost derogatory to me because it's just another label, like the word "autistic", that's getting to the point where it's used as a stereotypical term. I don't even like other words for it.
For me, I'd much rather be known as an "individual with aspergers syndrome", instead of "aspie" because I feel like I'm still me (if that makes sense to anyone) instead of a "generalization" that people see instead of the real me.
