Me neither, tho today is my off day. I did the full dental hygine, and I think I will wash my face in a few min. I feel a bit oily, I think I need the honestly need to do a shower after a day and a half but that is uber-confusing and hard to stick to. :/ Oh well.

I skipped my friday shower, and took bath last nite. I felt gross, and don't want to do that again. I had a bad couple days. health problems. No excuse tho, I took a shower on the worst day of my mono w/ a fever of 104.6F under the arm.

I am starting this log because I as well as others have trouble keeping good hygiene. I personally am trying to worktowards beter hygiene. My dental, showering, and laundry habits are sh**. I have decided to take a slow approach to this. I actually have gone as long as months before brushing or showering...and laundry you don't want to know. The funny thing with me is that I don;t hate showering or brushing my teeth im just too lazy to ''start it''.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person with atrocious hygiene habits. I really don't think taking a bath is necessarily a daily need if you're not a laborer of some sort. I'm pretty sedentary so I feel lucky if I get a bath once a week. I'd be happier with twice per week and shampoo once per week. Really, only cosmetic companies have a stake in people shampooing every day, imo.

My dental hygiene isn't so great, but I brush them at least once every other day. I know I need to that one thing daily.

My laundry? Ugh! It's been three months of wearing my cleanest dirty clothes. My ex will go so far as to wash me one outfit so I have something clean to wear to go do the rest of it. I'd probably do it weekly if I didn't have to trudge down to the laundomat. I hate those places.

But yeah, I get the whole part about not minding doing that stuff, it's just the starting it that drives me up the wall. I feel so paralyzed emotionally I often can't do much of anything, I stress out, then I go to sleep to escape the stress.

Are hygiene issues typical of Asperger's? My son behaves really Aspie and he has hygiene issues too, often to the point that employers have brought it up to him. When he was a kid it took forever to get him into the tub and then it took forever to get him to come out.

Never had issues with hygiene. suffering from ocd protects me from that.
i suffer from ocd but still have issues because im lazy.

When you think of having to shower or brush your teeth or do the wash, do you feel anxious or 'paralyzed' so that you feel overwhelmed? If so, I doubt if it's sheer laziness.
