As for your inherited talents, WHO KNOWS? Autism is inherited ALSO!

HEY, my father was considered to be very smart in his career. His family and friends say that also. He has a hobby, that supposedly takes some intelligence, where he is apparently one of the best in the nation. He DOES have some of the worst traits I exhibit, and they COULD be autistic.

I USED to think I was just a nervous and kind of off gifted person. GO FIGURE!

Steve

The musical gifts go back at least 6 generations on both sides of my family. I have yet to discover where any autism come from.
Although, I have found OCD, ADHD/ADD, panic disorders, depression, deafness, dementia, agoraphobia, paranoid personality disorder, diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, bronchial disorders and cancer.
So far I'm thankful to have inherited my singing ability :)

I'm definitely one of a kind within my family for all the other stuff.
Maybe Grandma was right...maybe I am possessed by the devil

The problem ultimately comes with America being a service-oriented economy, and there not being as much labor mobility across national borders as there used to be. Basically, the industrious introverted types, to include many Aspies, get squeezed by this system as there aren't enough jobs around to fit how we do things well, forcing us to put on a mask and pretend-smile and all that stuff.

Basically, this country is our gregarious NT's paradise.
