Aspergers referred to as a disease?
I get what you mean, Aviva. And you get what I mean. We understand each other.
Truthfully, people with autism usually do not believe that they are "diseased."
They don't want the general public to think they have a "disease."
I don't believe autism is a "disease." I think it's a disorder/difference/condition/syndrome.
It's all a matter of semantics, really.
To change the subject: I was in Amsterdam about 10 or so years ago. We stayed in a "sports" sort of place. There was a nude sauna there where it was mandatory that people be nude. I'm not a pot smoker--so I didn't indulge in that. There's some nice canals there, and some nice Venice-type bridges, too.
I would much sooner be called ret*d than diseased. I have no interest whatsoever in educating anyone about the proper use of the word disease I simply object to having it misapplied to me.
