My Aspie just likes the mall when she knows what she needs, knows where to go, gets it and that's it. All these years before we knew she had AS, it used to get so stressed for both of us to go shopping, I ended up shopping for clothes for her. It was just too much for her to go through the racks, try stuff on, maybe not end up with anything, deal with the crowds.
Today we'll go to the mall but she knows which electronic store and the game she wants. Because its something thats her very own interest, she'll be fine if she doesnt find the game.
It's just a practical approach which I never understood before. Her explanation is, why just look around and cruise the mall unless there's a purpose.
