No-one here is cool or interesting enough to be an X-man.
Sez you! I for one think WP posters are very interesting, and have interesting things to say. If they weren't, I wouldn't stick around here.

Besides--the X-men, despite their cool abilities, have personalities that are fairly typical for human beings. That's part of the appeal of their stories; instead of being nearly-perfect boy scouts (Superman, looking at you here), they're people with a wide range of personality traits, from the heroic to the silly.

That's kind of what drew me to them as well. They're never afraid to show the characters' quirks or flaws in X-Men. There's Storm's claustrophobia, there's Havok's fear of losing control over his powers, we see Nightcrawler's swashbuckling gregarious personality, Colossus is the gentle giant who likes painting, etc.

I've always felt that, more than the Avengers, or the Defenders, or the Justice League, the X-Men feel like a family, because they live together in the Institute 24/7 and go through their character developments together.

In a way we are no different from the X-men WP in a way is an Institute and in a way we can be a family.
