Marijuana
I could see myself thinking/saying that exact thing whether high or not. I just naturally tend to think ridiculous things like that.
You know, not all cannabis is the same. I use the medicinal kind for my chronic pain -- it has low THC, so I only get a head high for maybe 15 minutes maximum after using my vaporizer and get hours pain-free or at least nearly so. I also get decreased anxiety and improved mood. When I'm not using it, I'm in so much pain that I can't function -- I'm fully disabled without it. Being fully disabled and having so little energy actually makes my autism seem worse because I'm not able to mask it at all. When I have little to no pain and the other great effects of medical cannabis going on, I can walk, jog, clean, eat, and even drive again (remember -- LOW THC is key here). I can't work still since my state is not a legal medical cannabis state, but I hope that will change.
Of course, I would be thinking about the sparkly fire fairies only AFTER I immediately evacuated myself and my family from the burning home. It is because of my medicine making me not in pain anymore that I would be able to act quickly instead of die in the fire because my pain slows me down.
I am not using the street version, though -- that type is all about the head high and does nothing for my pain, so it's useless to me.
The government listing of marijuana as a schedule 1 drug is absurd.
I doubt any of the anti-pot people will even bother to look at studies, but I'll list a few of them anyway for those who are interested.
Evidence shows that marijuana helps with pain, nausea, appetite enhancement, multiple sclerosis and spastic disorders, HIV/ AIDS, cancer, and glaucoma.
