Decorative animal planters made to order!

Want an unusual decoration for the garden or yard? Something a little bit different? How about a decorative farm animal planter?

We have them as pigs, sheep, cows, a donkey and cart, and have even made our own "chicken" design for a customer needing something special. If you need a custom design for your patio, you can just ask our very experienced carpenters to create it for you!

Please call in at the Woodwork Shop, the A-Shop, 1/1a Market Street, Beccles, NR34 9AQ; alternatively telephone 01502 715328.

More hardback fiction at Beccles Book Store
We’re having a bit of a roman and medieval theme at the Book Store at Beccles right now, but still have a few old favourites. Plus some new 45s as well. 1/1a Market Street, Beccles, NR34 9AQ.

Family Support groups

We have family support groups in Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, which are run by Debbie Brown.
We run the groups fortnightly between 10 am and 12 noon on a drop in basis. All family members are welcome and it costs each family £4.00 per family per session. We offer craft activities plus games for the children and an opportunity for parents to get together and talk, offer each other support and advice and signpost families to various organisations that might be able to help them further.

We are currently on our Summer break but the Great Yarmouth group will be meeting next and then fortnightly from 12th September at Christchurch, King Street, Great Yarmouth and the Lowestoft group will be meeting again fortnightly from 5th September at the Kirkley Centre, London Road South.

If you would like to know more about either of the groups please contact our social media co-ordinator Martin Howe on [email protected] who will arrange for Debbie to have a chat with you or send you further details.

Appeal for the Wood Work shop at Beccles

Dear supporters, our wood work shop at Beccles is running low on materials, particularly chemicals such as wood stain and weather protection paints. We are also getting low on wood!!

If anybody is clearing out a garage or shed and has any to spare, we'd be grateful to have them and can collect locally around Beccles.

We also need wood, particularly old pallets, so if you have any wood to spare that we can turn into boxes, bird tables, planters, etc. please let us know - your support is appreciated.

Appeal for filing cabinets!

Dear supporters, do you have any filing cabinets to spare? Yes, you read that right: filing cabinets :)

We are seeking to obtain three or four filing cabinets, wood or metal construction, but that are lockable with keys that match.

If anybody is clearing out or refurbishing an office and would like to save taking lockable filing cabinets to the tip, please would you consider donating them to us?

01502 715500, 1/1a Market Street, Beccles, NR34 9AQ

Autism & SEN - Friendly Show at Norwich

At Norwich Library on Monday 21st December at 3pm: a relaxed performance of "The Little Match Girl' specially adapted to be accessible for those with Special Educational Needs and Autism.

This is a 50mins production using puppetry, live music and light play. The strong visual and sensory element to the production lends itself perfectly to an audience with SEN and Autism. There will also be a show guide and a meet and greet before the show to help with any anxiety. These performances are designed to be an inclusive community experience to be enjoyed by all.

To contact the venue, tel. 01603 774703 or email [email protected]. To contact Moon On A Stick productions, visit http://www.moononastickproductions.com/.

This is a magical and mischievous twist on this well-known tale, complete with puppetry, Christmas carols and audience interaction; on Christmas Eve, snow litters the ground and the little girl is alone. She is desperate to get warm so she lights the matches that she has been selling. With each match she is transported by its warmth into the scenes behind the glass. She becomes a part of the festivities, meeting father Christmas, playing in the snow and eating the most delicious feast but with the light of each match they fade and are just beyond reach.

Using their unique combination of visual storytelling, live music and object work, Moon On A Stick transform the stage into a stunning snowy spectacle. This beautiful, playful production is suitable for ages 3+ providing a perfect Christmas show for a younger audience and a joyful retelling of a winter classic.
