Prise: use force in order to move, move apart, or open (something).
"I tried to prise Joe's fingers away from the stick"
synonyms: lever, force, wrench, pull, wrest, twist; more

Oh yeah. Golem was the one who said "my precious". The witch in Oz said "my pretty". That was my bad.

But a crowbar is used for is to pry.

But there isnt any such word as "prise". If there were then why does the spell check keep underlining it when I type it?

Wait...

I just googled it.

Apparently it IS a real word in the UK. It evens says "the American/Canadian equivalent is 'pry'".
So its a dialect difference.

Never mind.

BUT...

If you're gonna reference Charlton Heston you have to say it in the American dialect!

Pry!

I've spent most of my life behind a computer/on the Internet, but I wouldn't go anywhere near saying that I am addicted to it. The reason behind it being that the outside just never offered enough stimuli. As some have mentioned, mainly used it for music and games in the earlier stages of my life, with attention shifting to reading things that peak my interest these days.

Since I used to spend well over 10 hours daily behind this contraption for the lion's share of my life, I would now much rather go for a walk with someone who has a different perspective on life.
