What I find interesting is that even if you only look at the diagnosed numbers, the 40/60 ratio remains steady-- 14 female /32 total = 43%.

8 female/23 total are self-diagnosed -- 33%.

What we haven't got is the proportion of female/male AS relative the general population or relative to female/male general population respectively. I think it is likely that people don't just go on hear with a hunch.

I would say given that and our current data the ratio of female/male AS is in the range [30:70] to [40:60] and that 35% is a pretty good average of demographic zones at least in the developed world.

The only problem with taking "diagnosed" from the profiles is that there is a glitch that switches the selection from "undiagnosed" to "diagnosed" every time a person changes their avatar. So some profiles that say "diagnosed" were actually "undiagnosed" when selected by the user.

True but most members do not even have avatars or any posts for that matter.

Well 1 post or less (I just checked).

There have likely been many updates. Previously it was 'Aspergers not 'Asperger's' I had to merge the results. I don't know when the bug you are talking about came in. They should really should fix that. It would mean that the dx should be a little lower.

Male, self diagnosed, although I'm really not very sure so I don't even want to consider myself self diagnosed.
