With that kind of money, I certainly could afford to go somewhere I might actually thrive, rather than just exist. So yes, I would. It would be a week of complete torture and probably perpetual shutdown, but I would endure it and it would eventually be over.

Again, sure.

This is too easy... I know it's potential costs and I'm not afraid to dive into it. I've done it before.

And again...
I'd find a way to not let any quarrels with money ever exists. Cause people here, they're like damn mosquitoes about it.

I've endured worse for less. Less than nothing, in some cases.

Besides, it'd mean I could send 65 WrongPlaneters a million quid afterwards. Even if I went crackers, several dozen people would have a better life as a result. :)

I have kind of done it, but I never got paid.

I'm pretty good at being miserable and boring. One of my talents.

I see that the OP is almost 5 years old. What about inflation? :-)
There was a time when I was researching the range of human behaviour, and would have been interested in going. From what I've seen, extraverted people are more interested in having fun themselves than in insisting that everyone get up and dance just as much. They can also be amused by mathematical recreations such as card tricks.

I'd do it for the future of my family and friends, although it would likely kill me and defeat the purpose.

I'd need to bribe all those partying extroverts to leave me the heck alone. I'm sure they could each chill out and ignore me if I promised them even a small portion of the cash. I'd also need earplugs and my dog.

I started this thread 5 years ago and I think now my answer would be that I'd do it for £100 because I'm so socially starved due to the ongoing lockdown.

I'd gladly spend a week partying for that kind of money. To be honest, I'd probably give half of it away to various causes that I care about but that would still leave me with more than enough money to do whatever I want.

Would you go abroad for a week, with lots of extraverted people you don't know, like as a club organization, just to party at bars and nightclubs every night, with no escape, for a whole week, but after you get home you will definitely be given 65 million pounds?

That is my idea of a nightmare, but I think I would do it for all that money to be able to do what I want with for the rest of my life.

Would you endure it for 65 million?

No. Sounds like hell on earth to me.

Actually, the money sounds pretty hellish, too. Lottery winners do not usually fare very well.

that is because those lotto winners were not prepared, they had no coaches in their corner with their best interest at heart. tragic. i can tell you for a GD certain fact that THIS lotto winner WOULD be prepared.

Fair enough, although I think that at least some of the problems encountered by people who win large amounts - particularly publicly - is that they're not prepared to back away and close off certain channels which could be used to harass them. For some, it might just be that they don't know that it'd be possible to close or restrict those channels on a temporary basis. For others, they would feel scared or bad closing those channels down (i.e. not talking to family or close friends for a bit). For still others, they have anxiety, fear, or simple ignorance about some of the actions it's often recommended to take (leaving town for a vacation, hiring lawyers and accountants, seeking advice from wealth managers, planning their new future). Or they simply feel that having a lot of money would solve all their problems and they could just throw money at anything which rears its head.

People who've reviewed those kinds of actions in some depth beforehand and are more than willing to do what's necessary aren't the ones who would run into problems if it ever happened. The ones who do are the ones more likely to make the news, as they spectacularly melt down or explode financially and personally, so they're the ones we tend to hear more about.

I'd certainly do it. I'm not a great fan of people but I do quite like drinking.

Plus it doesn't say anywhere I actually have to participate in everything or make myself popular, so that's cool.

There might be some awkwardness when I refuse to dance or sing karaoke, but it's a price worth paying I'd say.

And yes, I could definitely handle the money.
