My AS symptoms are probably mild to severe, though I've managed to counter some empathy issues.

No one has it 'the worst'. Everyone is different on the spectrum. But I think I'm HFA.

mine is relatively mild but if I am under stress it can get a lot worse for a short period.

Mine could be called severe because I have all the symptoms, I guess. But having Asperger' syndrome itself doesn't cause me any grief, so I wouldn't say it's bad.

It's bad and I hate it. If there was anything good about it, like new ways of solving problems. But all it does is cause me social problems and make me awkward both physically & mentally. It sucks. I have none of the "good" AS traits. I even have some NT traits, usually bad ones. I don't see anything good about it at all in my case, though I realize that's not the case for everyone. I wish I could get rid of it.

I guess I'm about medium-functioning. I don't always do so well, but I can 'pass' usually as NT when I want/feel I have to.

I don't know? I would say that it is crippling really as it has caused me so many issues, and continues to do so, yet I have developed my own methods of being able to see from others points of view etc.

The second you meet me, you'd know how awfully quiet I am, how I don't make eye contact and am always rub my hands together. Some pretty sure signs that my AS is quite strong.

I don't know really. I can do well at conversations with people I like and do not need to talk about my intrests much, however I am very quiet, do not make much eye-contact, stim a lot and have to collect things. I get really nervous with people but I think thats partly related to abuse rather than AS at all.
I would say HF.

I'd put myself at the high-functioning end of the spectrum. I'd still be undiagnosed if I hadn't actually gone out of my way to find out why I felt 'wrong'.

Having said that, it *does* cramp my style, it stops me from performing my best at work, when there's people-oriented tasks involved, and it seriously screws up my social life (or lack thereof).

But... I cope. I'm not doing too abd for myself, even though I whinge a lot. And if it wasn't AS, it would be something else - everybody's got some kind of cross to bear.

I get moments of clarity, when I notice the differences between myself and NTs, although most of the time I just amble along in my own world and get generaly left to my own devices, (which I like). I don't know exactly how bad my AS is, I cope with it ok as it is not diasbling. I'm not socialy motivated anyway.
