Not interested in Pokemon Go
I think it's funny that people tell you to go outside and do something worthwhile instead of playing Pokemon Go. Has it occurred to them that those same people playing Pokemon Go also ride bikes, swim, play sports, run, exercise, go to movies, go to amusement parks, etc? I had a man say some really rude things to my husband and I because I was letting my twins play Pokemon Go on my phone while we were at a park. The nerve of us!! That was sarcasm-which sometimes does not translate in text. I say, live and let live. If it makes you happy and you aren't hurting anyone. Why not!?!

Umm ... Pretty much anything else? If you're walking around exploring or making a tour of the various cultural spots or points of interest in your city just for it's own sake, that alone seems more worthwhile to me than distracting yourself with a silly kid's game. People are capable of just walking around, getting some fresh air and exercise, taking in the world around them and enjoying life without some game to make them do it.
Maybe it's because I'm not into computer or video games, but I really don't see what worth there is in catching or battling cartoons.I don't mean to bag out anyone who is interested in it, people are free to do as they please in my opinion, but this is a topic about being not into it and I'm not, I just find it very silly and a waste of time.
I don't think it's specifically meant as a kids game...not sure why people think being an adult means you should only take part in serious/mature activities. And I suppose I don't think it really distracts from checking out the various points of interest...kind of just makes it like a treasure hunt, plus I live in a city its not like it full of great scenery everywhere.
But if you're not into video games at all then I could see it seeming like a waste of time .

“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.” -C.S. Lewis
I love this quote. I may not be interested in Pokemon Go, but I don't see a problem with adults playing it, so long as they don't do anything stupid like playing while driving.

Who says something is just for kids anyway? I think something that's fun should be able to be enjoyed by people of all ages. If an adult is into stuff like Barney or Teletubbies, I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as it doesn't cause other problems like distracted driving, people should be able to do what they enjoy.

Here we get into the interesting definitions between childlike and childish. I'm not the only one who puts a negative slant on childish. It is generally thought of as immature, undeveloped, petty, pointless, etc.
I agree that a certain sensibility of a childlike quality is valuable in an adult, keeps you from growing stiff and stuffy.
But I also don't think I'm the only one who has a sense of age-appropriateness in general terms. I doubt I'd be alone in wondering if there was some problem, developmentally or intellectually perhaps, about for example, a 50 year old man who was obsessed with Yo Gabba Gabba, Frozen, play dough and wanted to eat nothing but baby food. I know that's extreme but it's illustrative of a point. An adult who acted in a childish way socially, such as emotional volatility and proverbially spitting the dummy whenever there was a disagreement, would also likely not be well thought of.
Pokemon certainly isn't of this extreme of course, and neither is anyone who is playing it I'd assume, but it just edges too far over that age appropriateness from my perspective to be interesting.
I find a lot of very "adult" things equally as pointless, especially just for the sake of pomposity - question of balance?

Not into it, either, but very amused by the stories of people having accidents because they were too busy looking for the little fake characters, to watch where they were going. I can understand kids, and even teens being into silly stuff like this, but adults?! And how about the idiots who go up to strangers doors, knock or ring the bell, and ask if they can look for some of these cartoon characters there?! Anyone tries that at my house, and I will call the mental hospital to come and collect one of their escaped patients.
Also, some criminals have been using the game to find or lure victims, so be careful if you are into this game, or any other like it. It's not worth your life.
