Great answer, Kazan and thank you for being so respectful.

Quote:
Do You Want Children Some Day?

No. I hate to say this but if I had children, I would resent them and I wouldn't want to put them through that. I know I would be incapable of looking after children properly as I do think I'm somewhat selfish and irresponsible and I feel I would resent my children for taking away a part of my life which I would miss, namely my freedom to do what I want, when I want. Also, I really couldn't handle the responsibility. Thought I'd give an honest answer to that.

EDIT: Changed wording a little bit

I do want children on a biological and emotional level, very intensely. I want a farm of them. I secretly love children but don't know how to communicate with them, without resorting to treating them like noisy pets. Dogs are the only people I'm good with.

On a logical level, I do not want children. I've struggled with crippling loneliness despite being married and have a job that isn't terrible. My husband is great, but having only one friend for a decade is not quite enough. Sometimes I wish I had two friends, or a dog that could talk to me. I'd be happy with either option. I do not wish to saddle my offspring with my mental wiring, which has a 50/50 chance of happening. Those are not fair odds.

So 80% of the time I do not want children, since logic is generally more trustworthy.
