To me english has too many words, and I don't and will never relish a fascination with it's redundancy.

Snapshot Report
Vocabulary
SubFacor IQ score = 147
Subscale percentile = 99.91

I thought, however, that their word sets were open to some interpretation. I didn't enjoy that test at all. I particularly dislike thinking about analogies in a testing forum. A few questions seemed too subjective. I suppose I succeeded, but it's a dubious honor. And I resented the test.

And yet you use words like "relish"... to mean things other than "sweet-pickle condiment".

I love English for its flexibility. There's a word for almost every concept you could imagine; and when there isn't a concept, English simply borrows the appropriate word from another language.

On the other hand, German appeals to the organized part of me. Except for gendered nouns, there's no language that seems to be designed with nearly as much no-nonsense common sense.

Ĉu vi havas aŭdanta de Esperanto?

You know, considering my random knowledge of various other languages, I think that my score was probably too low.

Same here. I didn't understand some of those questions.

I got a 115, which is far below any other verbal IQ test I have ever taken, but at least it's better than my EQ (by 60 points). It reminded me of a poorly written verbal subtest of the GRE.

According to the small text, my score on the analogies section was 155.

I'm trying to resist the temptation to purchase the full report.

Drat, I've got a very good vocabulary & (I'd say, intellectual) understanding of words! Shame I'm not so good at communicating with them, in real life situations! :)

They said that I appear to have a good vocabulary and that I know the meanings of most of the given terms, some of which are extremely advanced. My excellent vocabulary can help me communicate and understand the written word. :)

I am currently working on writing a novel, and I enjoy inserting into the text lines that can have double and even triple meanings. This is all part of the wordplay that I enjoy dealing with. Perhaps I am doing something that is right up my alley. It is too bad though that I am not real good at using spoken words in real-world interactions.

I'm not surprised; language has been my "prosthetic"/compensatory mechanism for all the body language I miss, don't recognise etc almost my whole life. :)
