Huh?

Since when does 1/250 equal 2/5?

1/250 equals 0.004, while 2.5 equals 0.4 -- a difference of 100 times.

Total fail.  Please try again.[/color]

2.5 does not equal .4. Scroll back I never said that 1/250= 2/5. I said that 1/250 of 100= .4
.4=4/10=2/5 That means that if our percentage of world shakers was the same as our % of the population there should be 2/5 of an aspie on the top 100 most famous list. Its actually 8. 8 is 20 times greater than 2/5. Therefore our % of world shakers is 20 times greater then a neurotypicals. If you are an aspie your odds of shaking the world are 20 times greater than a neurotypical.

You take one aspie and one neurotypical the odds are 20 times greater that the aspie will shake the world compared to the neurotypical.

Assuming 1) the list represents a randomized sample of equally talented people and 2) the remaining people in the sample are NT.

I took the list of the 100 most famous people and compared it to the list of famous asperger people. I counted the people on both lists. There were 8. There should have been less than 1 ( 2/5). 8 is 20 times greater than 2/5. Therefore it is 20 times more likely for you to be famous then a neurotypical's chances.

If you are an aspie your odds of becoming famous are 20 times that of a neurotypical!

I suppose the odds of being unemployed (if you are an aspie) are also greater. But the best way to help our unemployed brothers is to help them concentrate on their exceptional abilities and not be so negative.

Sherlock Holmes had the benefit of the coincidences common to fiction. His author, Conan Doyle, was besieged with requests for detective services. IIRC, he did take on two cases successfully, but they took him years of work.

Almost like those who can't fit in are more prone to stand out.

True, but he was always successful.  He even survived Reichenbach Falls!

But they stand out, not because they are weird! None of the 8 on both lists were people like Hitler etc. They stand out because of their exceptional abilities.
Like I said why are aspies so damn humble? Its like these posts are saying that we only have disabilities and we should concentrate on them rather then our strengths!

I think the fact that I am 20 times more likely to be famous ( for positive reasons like top in physics etc. I am not talking about famous for being a serial killer. Actually on average aspies are less violent then neurotypicals ) then a neurotypical is pretty cool.

To be fair, we often reject when monsters are suggested as potentially having ASD so it's not that surprising that none of the 8 on both lists were monsters; we'd scream how defamatory it was even if it was bloody well true.

I am an aspie. I am getting married and she has a 19 year old aspie son. I tell him the truth. He is brilliant. I am trying to fight all the negative that makes him want to give up. I hate the popularity of this attitude https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvZiqpjLZaA from both aspies and neurotypicals!

You’ve still not answered the question name a list of these diagnosed aspies that have shaken the world.

1 in 250 humans have been born in around 75 years since ASD traits have been identified.

26 years since 1994 when the word Aspergers was re-highlighted.

My calculator doesn’t go up to 7 billion so I’ll do the rough pop of the US 350 million make 1.4 million “potential geniuses” that should have been diagnosed in the last 26 years.

Where are they?

It appears you confuse personality type with a developmental disability which is a common error.

If you think you are disabled you will think like a disabled person. However, you have to be realistic. I accept the fact that my aspergers has many challenges. If I accept my disabilities and not my exceptional abilities I will not have a good life. I give the analogy of a boxer to my students. Suppose your manager before a fight says, " He is pretty big! You really don't have a chance! " Or says, " you spit lightning . I pity the fool that fights you! " Which manager is doing his job? Do you think you will succeed if you constantly concentrate on your disabilities? I am shy as most aspies are. However, I am the most popular teacher where I teach and I have a beautiful fiancé.
My son is an aspie. He is unemployed and has no social life. However, because of my "counseling " his pride keeps increasing. He likes superheroes. is there anything more socially acceptable? After all they are called superheroes!
In response to your post, some object to historical diagnoses even if done by a professional. They believe that you have to face a client face to face before making a diagnosis. I and many validated academics disagree.
