I live in Brisbane, where our weather is almost always flawless. I've always had a fascination for storms since I was a kid, and I've always wanted to experience a cyclone, or a really bad supercell. The worst I've ever seen in the area where I live is slight hail. I've never seen lightning strike in my backyard, I've never seen snow or a blizzard, and I've never seen the temperature drop below 2 degrees C.

Aght, you beat me to posting that video. :x :P

The Pacific Northwest where I live is of course well known for lots of rainy days. The sky is often grey here, just like it always is in my Dreamlands.

Before I lived here, I lived in Florida; and I must say, I do miss the thunderstorms; lightning is a beautiful spectacle of nature's power. I tried often to catch it, but have not been able to so far... And while it rains a lot in the PNW, there is rarely any lightning.

Good fortune,

I looooove listening to storms. The louder the thunder, the happier I am. And loud, heavy rain is such a perfect, non-annoying background noise. I remember listening to heavy rain on a metal roof at my grandfather's house in Puerto Rico; it was the most relaxing noise I've ever heard.

I like rain and snow too, especially light rain and heavy snow.

I just love damp, rainy weather!

I don't like rainy wet weather much, but I really hate bright sunny days. I'm too sensitive to light to go outside on really bright days; it hurts my eyes. I only don't like the rain because I'm usually out biking in it. I like it when I'm indoors and it's raining.

Yea. The thing about Florida is you can always expect the thunderstorms like clockwork and it's obvious when the sky gets dark that it's going to start thundering.

In the PNW the lightning only comes when you least expect it. One day last winter I was walking down the road when out of the blue there was a massively bright lightning flash. I literally jumped when I saw it. It didn’t register to me that it was just lightning until I heard the thunder about 5 seconds later. At first I thought maybe someone had just snapped a picture with a massive flash camera. Either that or I was about to get obducted by an alien spaceship. 8O

I live in the subarctic... I don't like warm weather but the winters here drives me mad. -20 and below is painful and dangerous. I wish it was between 14 to 21 celsius sunny/cloudy all year long with maybe 10 to 30 days per year with extreme weather just to wake me up

I like when it's really cold out because it gives me an excuse to wear more clothes.

I must admit I was fascinated by pictures on TV today of huge waves battering the flood defences in eastern Britian. Even some local people on the scene were getting as close to the sea as they could to get the best view.
Thankfully,it didn't cause as much flooding as feared although poor Hamburg in
Germany got the worst of it.

Well, I like thunder storms, but I don't like rainy weather. I've lived in So. Cal. all my life, and there isn't a whole lot of rain here. A nice storm once in a while is fun, but if it rains for more than a couple of days, I start to become edgy.

I don't like getting wet. I hate the feeling of wet clothes on my skin. And everything gets muddy and dirty. And it's dark all the time. And I have to remember my umbrella, and I lose it usually, or accidentally leave it somewhere.

And usually I have forgotten to change my windshield wipers, so I can't see out of the windows very well, either.

No, I don't like rainy weather. But again, I do like thunderstorms. When I would go to see my husband in Houston, I used to love the thunderstorms. It's very true in Houston, the saying that they have: If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes. The lightning would bounce between the clouds for a while, and then it would clear up and go away. I love lightning.

Wind, rain, and snow are my three favorite weathers (in order.) When I was younger, I'd sometimes just stand outside during a storm to see how long I could take it before I wanted to come in and warm up. Also, I once took my blanket and pillow outside and slept in a frreshly fallen layer of snow. It was more comfortable than you might think. Rain also helps me fall asleep quicker, which is good since it usually takes an interminable amount of time for me to fall asleep.

I love the rain. It's soothing. Too hot and I feel sick. Too cold and it feels intensely painful. I moved to the city I live in now mostly because it has seasonal weather, but the variation is mild (it never gets too hot or cold for me) and it rains about six months of the year :)

I lived in LA for a year, though, and the unvarying nice weather (except for the week or so in February when it rained insanely) just became monotonous. However, I thought it was hilarious that people would walk around in t-shirts when it was sunny-and-75-degrees, but donned winter coats when it was sunny-and-65-degrees! Ten degrees! LOL!

LOL!! ! I have to agree with you!

First, yes, I also get bored with the day-after-day sunny weather. I wish it could be one day of rain, and 6 days of sun. Won't happen.

But also it's funny that people here in So. Cal. act like it's freezing weather when it dips below 70. There are these "after-ski boots" that people where up in the mountains. Well, people here in So. Cal. where them in all kinds of weather. I don't get that.

I have always run around in shorts and t-shirts, even in November or December. It's not cold here. It's only been in the last 10 years that I wear shoes. I hate shoes.

I guess they decided it was their only chance to wear winter clothes. They do need a chance to show off the full range of their wardrobe!

Yeah, I like "bad" weather...
But only when it doesn't fry my electronics, or cut the power-lines.
