I hate them and have since I was a baby, when my mom used to make me where anything with buttons, i would have total meltdowns. I hate anything with buttons/snaps/etc (but zippers are ok)

does anyone have anything like this? or with any other objects?

I was like that as a kid as well. I wouldn't even let people hug me or even get close if they were wearing something with buttons on it. I was okay with zippers or snaps but not buttons. I would have meldowns if something had buttons on it and my mom made sure to buy clothes that didn't.

I have a phobia of hospital gowns as well. My mom forced me to wear them at the peditriton's office and a kid and I always had a meltdown. I was okay with shots and blood draws but if some cocky nurse insisted I wear a gown, I had a fit. My mum eventualy realised it was best to pick her battles than have me screaming as if I was being killed. I know no one likes them, but I doubt other people have meltdowns and tantrums as epic as I did. The god-awful patterns hurt my eyes and I hated anything that was a dress or simaliar to one. I didn't like removing my clothes which usualy had something to do with my special intrests on them. I didn't like how the gowns felt but the main issue was being forced to wear one. My mom used to force me to wear them until she realised it was not worth it to have me red in the face over the issue.

I am very afraid of alligators, crocodiles and others of that type of animal.

I hate talking on the phone.

I hate nail files. The sound and feel of them gives me goosebumps.

I don't know how to describe this next one, but I get chills everytime that certain fabrics attach to my fingernails. (and when tape sticks to certain fabrics, such as wool, and then gets peeled off.)

I had phobias of fans and my dad's fiddle when I was younger! I didn't want my dad to play his fiddle. Don't know why, I don't remember it being loud or anything like that. And for the fans, I didn't want to walk past them, who knows, the blade could grow feet :?: :?: :?: and start chasing me! At least that's understandable. Come on, I was 5!

Interesting. I like this topic - glad to know other people have weird quirks here.
Me I don't have phobias per se, more aversions. I dislike phones and silver teaspoons, which generally make going to coffee shops (something I like) a joke for my companions.

Escalators

Stairs- in my dreams. I often wake up to me falling (not tumbling though, like flying) down the stairs and waking just before impact. In the dream I'm a baby, but I'm a cartoon. My mom told me she dropped me down the stairs once when I was a baby. Perhaps this is why I have Asperger's Syndrome.

i am afraid of using the phone/answering the door when someone knocks. i also get nervous in restaurants and could not order my own food until i was about 11. oh-and when i was younger i had the seemingly-popular fear of vomiting. i probably still have it, but i haven't gotten sick enough to throw up since i was 8 or 9 so i wouldn't know.

I dislike everything with six legs...
But I comletely panic about snails and slugs.
When I see one, I start screaming and cyring and shaking. Once I saw a big one and vomited because I find them extremely disgusting.

astraphobia. The thunder doesn't allow me to hear every noise that's going on around my surroundings, which I can't stand.

hahaha whatever for?

im not laughing at you rather the phobia

It limits your vision. Sometimes I have to turn around to see that I'm still alone. I know, I'm a wuss. I'll overcome this for the winter months.
I also get jumpy if I see a bright object through the telescope. Then I have to try and find it again. I'm really not sure what that is. Perhaps I think it's an alien.

I'm afraid of water. Around the time kids learn to swim I had nightmares about drowning and my brother actually dunked my head under water which is when I decided to never learn to swim.

I used to be afraid of elevators after watching the Omen 2.

I'm afraid of snakes because my dog went after one and I thought he would be bitten.

My fear of spiders started when I was 5 after a tiny one bit me on the finger.

I don't have a phobia as such, but some weird fears and dislike.

I dislike dead animals, for example. I don't have a problem with touching most animals when they're alive, but the thought of touching dead ones freaked and in some cases still freaks me out. Since I'm very interested in biology and would have studied it otherwise, that is a drawback. It's starting to fade, though. A few days ago I made some chicken for lunch, and I had no problem with cutting the raw meat.

Another one is a fear of heights. It's not that serious, but a very strange one...
I'm afraid of heights when I'm on buildings - anything human made. And only if there doesn't seem to be much support around me.
If I stood on the roof of some building with a flat roof, I'd always try to stay in the middle. On a mountain or cliff, however, I would be able to stand at the very rim. I never did, but that's not because I "feel" that it's dangerous, but because my common sense tells me so.
I also feel uncomfortable in the deep parts of a swimming pool, but perfectly fine in the sea.

My mother simply says that I have an "Urvertrauen" (that roughly translates to "sense of basic trust") in nature.

Ok... this is kinda embarrasing I think but here it goes.

I am deathly afriad of puking, thats right!! I am terrified of the thought of being sick to my stomach. WHen I was 7 I had the stomach flu, ever since then im terrified of just thinking about it. Sometimes I even have night mares about it, seriously. God I feel stupid... heh... but its true.

This is my biggest phobia, and it's turned me into a massive germaphobe.

When I was young I was terrified of my teeth falling out. If I had a wobbly tooth I'd refuse to do anything until it fell out on its own. One actully re-rooted itself kinda upside down. When I had 4 adult teeth taken out by the dentist it didn't bother me, even though it was really painful.

I also understand the telescope thing. I can look through binoculars while standing (just) but sitting or laying down and looking up at the sky seems really scary.

I also dislike using the phone, talking to people in shops, heights, enclosed spaces (especially with other people), the list goes on...

I can't stand to be touched by very short pieces of chalk! If they're something around half an inch or shorter I will freak the hell out if it touches me!!

I also hate small holes next to each other in an irregular pattern, when the holes are all relatively the same size. I can't explain what a terrible feeling it gives me. :[

I used to be afraid of the USPS eagle symbol. I never knew it was an eagle until a few years ago. As a child, I always thought it was shaped like a portrait silhouette of a man in a hat. The hat had a really sharp brim on the front and he was facing 3/4 view toward his right (my left). It felt like he was watching. :[ I thought he was the "mailman". I never said I was afraid of him but I was TERRIFIED of mailboxes because that eagle was on them.

And a childhood fear that never went away... I am terrified of closed shower curtains! I used to think that Captain Hook lived behind them, no matter which side I was on lmao

Now I always have a horrible feeling that someone is watching me, even if I'm just brushing my teeth. I have to have clear shower curtains.
