.... I just had a 'Diagnosis', paid $400 for it and I am still uncertain as to the outcome. The Psychologist (he has a reputation of being the local authority on Aspergers and was highly recommended), after 2 hours of 'chatting' made the observation that I was 'Eccentric', 'may' have had some strains of Aspergers as a Child, and that perhaps 'I think too much'. He made Statements such as "Aspies almost never get married' (Crap) and 'Aspies almost never leave home' (Crap again). I really don't believe he could differentiate between someone who is 75% Aspie to someone who is 95%,

I used to refer to that kind of thing as "A bunch of people getting together in a group to argue over which one is more of a loner."

I think calling us anti-social is incorrect. We do not socialize in the way that society views as normal but that does not mean we do not socialize. This kind of statement is what happens when the human mind tries to cope with things by catorgizing them into a limited knowledge base. Humans are way too complex for any set of standards or words to encompass everything about them.

I think it should not be anti-social but that we socialize differently than the ones who managed to be in a position to "make the rules".

;) Y ;)

Exactly! It always baffles me how I can go from being shy and timid and having low self esteem, to being arogant and aloof and thinking I am better than everyone without any time spent in between.
This is how people percieve me, I mean. They just don't really have a category to describe me accurately.
