Hand wringing/flapping. Although technically for me it's pretty involuntary and it means I'm excited. That's probably my favorite.

I make a squeaking noise sometimes too. I've been doing it since I was a teenager and I usually do it when I have nothing to say or to convey some emotion.

Those two I like the most because they give me character. I wouldn't ever give them up.

I stim a lot, and probably the most while reading this board.

Usually I pace around the house a lot, and if it's warm out, I take a walk sometimes. When I was a kid, I would go to the swingsets when recess came around and was still there at the end of it. Sometimes I still swing if I feel I really need to.

Yes! Pace, I forgot that. Unsure...is pacing 'stimming' or just OC behavior. I stack blocks, 'cut & paste' magazine images like a maniac (REAL MAJOR marker/problem when I was little - I had blood poisoning 5 times from the scissors abrading my hand with scissors from excessive cutting & pasting). Does that stuff count? Where does it all end?

Singing, lots and lots of singing, the higher of notes the better.

Yes, I do that sometimes too. It usually accompanies hand flapping, and when for whichever reason I get very excited. I try to stop myself from doing it though since sometimes these high pitched (an somewhat feminine sounding) squeaks can be heard in a decent sized area, and being a guy, that can sometimes be embarrassing.

Also, as someone else stated, I pace, and I do it ALOT. I like to pace in areas with tiles, so I can usually choose some sort of pattern and I can walk around on the tiles like that for a while as long as there is nothing to interrupt me.

mostly grabbing a lock of hair and flipping it between my finger and thumb over and over. the smoother the hair the better. that and biting my cuticles and running my lip over their ragged edges. I have done that so much my teeth are worn flat and my nails are crooked. There is also a blanket i find irresistable because the acrylic lining snags on my cuticles. sometimes rocking is just so satisfying too.

I chew on sucker sticks or walk in circles. I'm actually stimming right now.

Mine is rubbing my face, hands, arms or thighs. I do this when I am feeling tense and need to relieve stress.

hmmm...i seem to have found that i have quite a few.
my favourite would be rocking (seeing as how i do so much of it!)
or if there is room enough, i will pace, usually in circles...
if i'm sitting in a chair where my feet are off the floor, i like to swing my leg back and forth...
spinning is another love i have (especially in an office chair...heehee...)
i have other things i do with my hands, and with my hair too.
when i was younger, i used to suck my thumb, but that became socially unacceptable (as well, the threat of braces scared me!) and find now that it just doesn't fit the same...lol!
i'm sure there are lots more i do that i don't remember...

When I was a kid I walked in circles. My dad couldn't stand it. I learned to suppress it, and now my legs vibrate really badly whenever I don't pay attention. Haha, my dad hates that too...he says it remind him of those little purebred toy dogs that just tend to shake all the time for no reason.

I also sometimes dig my fingernails into my head, but I try not to.

Two things
1 - my son stopped 95% of his 'stimming' after he went on the drug Concerta (it's like a Ritalin)
2 - you HAVE TO express to your sons teacher that HE WILL get better, but HE CANNOT CONTROL WHAT HE IS GOING THRU right now

I take Concerta and it can make my stimming worse.

Rocking is my all time favorite stim. I also like to swing in my porch swing. Others are biting nails, pulling out eyelashes and eyebrows, and pulling stray hairs off my head and examining them for the little bulb on the tip. This tells me that it naturally shed, and I didn't snap it off.
