I think it certainly is an element on the spectrum but it would be interesting to take the high P people and look at their environmental/family histories.

i am also interested in why it is often presumed that AS people have to be introverts. I am dx'ed AS and my nephew is dx'ed HFA and neither of us are introverted at all. strange but not introverted. frequent public blundering....
this would be a personality issue.

it may be the majority of extroverted ASD'ers are absent from the results of this test, because they are out and about makng faux'pas's and talking loudly at the shopkeepers down the road.

online tests would possibly attract more interoverts than extrverts because they are online.

still..i have had fun finding out i am a neurotic psychotic which basically translates to a hig energy picture maker - or a criminal probably - and that is what i am.

The sample so far from only this messageboard seems to have only a tight standard deviation (s < 3) with Extroversion and Lie. Neuroticism, while high, has s > 4.

Extraversion 5

Psychoticism 12

Neuroticism 23

Lie Scale 12

I'm surprised I didn't score higher with the Psychoticism. I seem to end up in a lot of psych wards whenever I break down.

having been a member for some years now, there are more psychotic types here than formerly. there's a lot more bipolar people here, there's sociopaths of some degree. it's an open website, one doesn't need a dx and in any case how could you prove it.

most real artists (not the hobbyists) have sociopathic tendencies (and are often perceived as such, in the eyes of the repressive and socially straight, conservative majority.......)

that's what their ssocial role is ...to shake up the walking dead a little....

I agree here in that I cannot imagine any creative person not having a high P, especially writers, perhaps even more so than artists or musicians who generally are more animated and have a wider realm of expression.
I've only been here since 06 but in my opinion, compared to others, I see that the site has a rather meek bunch of posters compared to how it used to be.

I noticed a trend 5 years ago when I first started playing around with this scale. And that it seems that the higher you are on P, N, or both, the lower you are on E. It's like the energy can only go in so many directions at the same time.

Cross plot of data so far (not enough to test means for WP people, but enough to plot with - I'm including other data here, too, not just WP):

Image

See how there's nothing in the top right corner on the bottom chart? Ooooh, stuff like this gets me so excited!

It's on this page on my website (yes, digging for hits!) - scroll down a bit:
EPQR crossplots writeup

Okay, enough geek stuff for now. Go back to your regularly scheduled programming.

I tried to do it but I got really, really, really bored with the hundred questions. I already know I would get medium on extroversion, and I am the Woody Allen of Neuroticism. I dont know about the P score though. I know I lack empathy and impersonal but I think I am a warm caring person apart from this...
