Be VERY careful around sociopaths. They may seem friendly on the surface but if they get an opportunity to con you, rob you, or kill you, and think they have a good chance to get away with it, they will do so without a moment of hesitation. Sociopaths, psychopaths, and people with Anti-Social Personality Disorder are what I would call clinically evil. (Note "Anti-Social" is not the same as "Asocial"; the latter means not socializing with others because you don't want to or find it difficult, while the former means actively disturbing and destroying social bonds and relationships. Probably most people here know that, but I thought I'd say it in case there was anyone who didn't).

ASPD is different from most other mental disorders since the sociopath acts normal most of the time. This is because they are "fake" and don't say what they're really thinking.

Let's see. Remember how many Afro-American females bitch-snap, gesture in all sorts of f**ked-up ways and can be disorienting-as HELL? Yakking and Yakking and yelling and storming in groups? I've seen it. And when the person f***s up and isn't as aggressive and expressive in that format...ehh. I remember some problems like that from 5-8th grade and Freshman Year..

I am quite aware of the "down low".

Most of my anecdotal information is from Asian women. They spot me any where, any time. They will point blank refuse me when I go in for a manicure or pedicure. I have had Asian women refuse to rent me rooms in Hawai'i. I have had Asian women tell me to take my laundry to another laundromat, like I was catching or something. I don't know what it is about me, probably my serious lack of mirror neurons, but they sense it and they want no part of it. Black women didn't care much for me either, but I think that was because I was living with the Hippies and they didn't care for Hippies much, either. One black woman told me she didn't respect me because I was 'throwing away' my birth right for being a white person by rejecting the whole economic thing they thought was just in the cards for me because I was white. I never quite understood why they thought white poor was a poor as black poor. . . but, there it is.
White women it takes a longer time to realize something is not right. I guess it is because I have learned the socialization and culture. Later, they are all 'wow, you talk so strangely and have little in common with me and the world of people I know." And it't true.

When I think about it, I don't blame them much. They want a stress free social interaction, just as much as I do, and if they can see they aren't going to be able to depend on me following the social norms and that is potential stress. As professionals they didn't want to be responsible for any mis understandings when cutting my hair or doing my nails,or asking to borrow the white out at work, and if I didn't keep my mouth zipped while the intital negotiations were made, I usually could come away with out stepping on any social or business transactional toes.

and as for men? Men are men, Asian, black, white or green with purple polka dots. When I was young they were lining up to give me a break! Now that I am old, not so much, it is more like I am invisible to them.

So, you are a sociopath and you are proud of it? You are seriously disturbed, get help.

I'm black and I have it. It's pretty common in my family, actually. I usually stuck with white kids because they treated me better. Everyone thought I was some kind of uncle tom because I said saying the "n-word" was bad and I did moderately well in school. Soooo yeah, that's how that works lol. I do well in college, also and have learned to disassociate myself from most black kids. Not that black kids are bad or anything, they just don't value scholarship as much as I value it. Actually, most kids: white, black, asian or whatever don't value it as much. It's just you get into different kinds of politics with black kids vs. other races. I would LOVE to be accepted by them, but that would require an entire cultural shift I'm not willing to make. Alas, Aspergers is EVERYWHERE in EVERY race in the same proportion. Sometimes it goes undiagnosed because of racism, lack of access to healthcare, ignorance of the condition etc. My father has Aspergers and he STILL doesn't know it lol. Apparently, he's very good at math and stuff like that, or whatever. I'm not sure, exactly. What I'm trying to say is that white people aren't the only ones who love nerdy things. I'm into comics, computers, and all sorts of things.

This topic is interesting, even if you look at the demographics of people with Asperger's on WP most report being of at-tleast mixed decent; I have seldom seen those of pure African-American or African heritage report Asperger's however I'm sure it does. I honestly believe that being an Aspie is a strictly genetic thing, now where these Genes come predominantly from, I don't know.


With African Americans it could also be a cultural thing. Blacks are less likely that whites (statisically) to have access to affordable health care and also less likely to follow up for checkups and health screenings, so maybe African American's have a lower probability of being correctly assessed and diagnosed. This is very common with many other kinds of illnesses, even those illnesses that are more predominant in African Americans but due to health care issues, they are not usually discovered until much later in life compared to other racial groups.
