I'd be careful is DXing people who have already been (or claim to be) officially DXed. Everybody talks and acts different. It is a spectrum, after all

Yes, I am quite mild but still in the AS category.

Maybe I underestimated the people here of their connection to the Force

wow, Mr. Inventor

you have got to be the most cantankerous intellectual I have ever locked horns with.
again, all of you are putting words in my mouth, I never said I was ashamed to be who I am nor did I say I was proud of it.
Circumstances of birth should not be a source of pride or shame.

Frankly, sir, you nearly disgust me with your arrogance.

Why, Thank You. Not the circunstances, but what one does with it, is the source of all merit.

Enough praise, perhaps the title of this thread, A Multi-faceted discussion, threw me.

If you mean only those who agree with you, say so.

We seem to have missed your inferred meaning, due to a lack of body language and eye contact.

You seem to be reading comments about the subject as personal slurs.

Then instead of defending your point of view, you have a go at this Inventor fellow.

He only posted a lot of useless facts.

So who do you think will be in the Superbowl this year?

Me kicking you into the dirt, you pretentious twit.

what I expected was a civil demonstration, when I point out the lack of civility, I get this lecture.
Maybe I have missed your inferred meaning in being a stuck-up a**hole.

watch this video.

This guy is a musical genius, but he cannot see, he can't dress himself, can't tell left from Right or even count to ten.

Non-Autistics would call him Disabled, Aspies would call him a genius.

A classic autistic savant. Imagine the sense-memory and spatial awareness this guy must have! I would call him a disabled genius. His disability does not cancel out his genius nor does his genius cancel out his disability. But how rare are people like this?

It was a while before I saw anything that even really bordered on what I would call genius. STILL, some have played better, and the rest has been learned, by others, etc...

Still, he is an autistic savant at BEST.

Ok, that was directed at Inventor, but I'm going to answer anyway.

I've gone over your previous posts. You started out mildly enough but your last 15 or so posts are showing an increasingly nasty tone. You start a thread then snot off at anyone who disagrees, no matter now respectfully they do so. Then you accuse them of being uncivil. Look at the quote above. Inventor said nothing to warrant that or the previous answer he got from you. You owe Inventor an apology.

You're trolling. I won't participate in any more threads you start and I won't respond to your posts.

It apparently either slipped you or you chose to disregard it, but in case of that it slipped you, I feel that as a fellow member of WP I should point out that we have very very well-hidden, but official rules that you just have violated badly.

The rules are found at the top of this forum.

It's probably just his hemorrhoids.

In any case, replying to Vorzac's original post - okay, so your sister is currently in a better position than you are, but there are numerous people who are not on the spectrum who have to claim benefits for whatever reason. There are many NTs who are unskilled, lacking qualifications and unable to hold down a permanent job, so you could say that they are lower functioning than most people - but they're still NT.

Likewise, there are some people with AS who have made, and can make, a successful career out of their interest(s) I know this is a bit of a stereotype, but computer programming is an ideal job for maths-whizz Aspies, as is spending your life pursuing and writing up about rare insects in far-flung jungles. There isn't just one type of Aspie; we're as different as we are similar. Some find it a struggle to get and hold a job and cope with the demands of everyday life, and some find it a lot easier. Some are immersed in their own world virtually all the time, while others are more social.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Aspies are not inherently superior to everyone else, but we're not inferior either. We're all people, aren't we?

It's time to be AspieMan!

Time to clean out all of the inferior NT criminals.

All the pedophiles, racists, xenophobes.

Wohoo!

Now, can anyone tell me why the inventor(pun intended) of a forum decided to stereotype us, put us in a group and act upon his unverified assumptions?

Sounds like apartheid to me.

Did you actually spend time with someone on the spectrum? em?
Did you actually try to understand how it is like for us?

or did you Prince Charming, jump on your high horse and go save the kingdom today from the barbarians?

Please tell me, it will clear things up.

I'm so telling, NT.

Ever heard of cat stratch fever? Now you have Lab Pet fever.

On the edge of AS, yes? You've fallen over the edge into the abyss. We're not here to save you either.

We have a deep gene pool and you're drowning.

Stop this bickering forthwith, or punitive measures will be taken. And next time, take the time to read the forum rules, FreedomG, or you will be defenestrated before you know it.

I have tried to be nice, but it seems that that isn't good enough. . a lot of you seem to have ideas ingrained in your heads and I should've known it would be useless to challenge them, especially when you bring in the moderator. I knew what i was in for, but this is ridiculous. I was expecting a few angry people, but a mod and several lurkers, wow...
I'm not apologizing, I still think he's stuck-up and pretentious.
And if that gets me banned, then so be it.
I know when I'm not wanted, good day
