I have known a few aspies, and they were all different, and um....some of them annoyed me but for varying reasons.....but I would not say they annoyed me because they were aspies....they annoyed me because they were just annoying, and I am easily annoyed....I have been far more annoyed by NTs

One of them was this older guy who would come to my little rinky dink screen printing workshop and annoy the hell out of me by constantly correcting me. in everything I did and go on and on about how he had worked for years as an industrial screenprinters...and blah blah blah...i felt as thought he had just come to my workshop just to heckle me.

To me that is stepping away from the Aspie stereotype of the rigid, intolerant, selfish thinker who wants everything their way. Their way or no way.

I find I hate all people equally. Aspies can be annoying, i've gotten very abusive messages from people who can't handle not being replied to straight away. NTs are just jerks.

There are aspie people and NTs who are cool also.

I had to interrupt my post because they had to refuel the generator...but I wanted to cite anotehr example of a (possible) Aspie who annoyed me....The older lady who used to vollunteer at Super happy Fun Land. She totally invaded my space...she was a patter and a starer and she completely drove me insane.

But some of my favorite people are very spectrumy

I've never met any aspies in person, or at least that I know of. I'm pretty easy going so it takes a lot to piss me off (or just a little bit of certain things).

-They whine a lot.
So do some NTs
-They can't take any criticism.
That I can see
-They only see things from their point of view.
Again, so do some NTs
-They're selfish (lack of empathy).
Again, so are some NTs
-They think--without ANY evidence- that having Asperger's somehow makes them smarter.
Maybe it does and maybe it doesn't, but why take that away from them?
-They confuse being detailed with being smart.
There is more than one kind of smart, or genius
-They always say dumb sh**.
Doesn't everyone from time to time. I actually rather enjoy saying dumb sh**. :lol:
-They assume social rules are illogical just because they don't care to understand the underlying rationales.
Well, maybe that's true but some rules really are just dumb in my humble opinion.
-You correct them, then they go back to doing what they did before whenever you tell them they improved.
True in some cases, but not always.

I guess I'm just real easy going nowadays, but NTs nor aspies piss me off. I mean, why? Live and let live.

I have aspergers and I get pissed off with myself and other aspies. I do agree they lack empathy which I think is something that can be worked on. Yes I do admit that aspies can't take criticism which is something both me and my boyfriend need to work on. I admit both me and my boyfriend sometimes whine a lot. I don't think that I am smarter than other people, I think everyone has strengths and weaknesses. I don't think social rules are illogical I just don't always know how to abide by them.

However why do I go to aspies forums if they piss me off? Well people in general piss me off not just aspies so I'm not going to get prejudice against people with AS, that would make me an insensitve hypocrite. And even though sometimes people including me act emo on this forum I'm not going to hold that against anyone, I still like discussing aspergian issues.

I'm not a whiner, I'm certainly not a p****, and no, other Aspies don't piss me off. It's really hard to piss me off in general, and the ones who actually manage it are usually NTs, just because the translation is so difficult.

Actually, most social rules make sense when you think about them, even when the rationales are not immediately obvious. I'm curious to know which social rules tyou think are dumb.
