Fair enough. However, please be aware that there is a lot of sensitivity for some who have had to deal with their diagnosis/condition being trivialized or dismissed out of hand; your post, while not the intent, did seem to invalidate some of the membership here.

It seems that I have come to believe that because I have AS, I'm not "supposed to" have social success or accomplish anything else that contradicts the nature of the condition. That I shouldn't try certain things because Aspies aren't "supposed to" succeed at those things. That I somehow don't deserve as much as other people because I was born a certain way. :(

If you have a special interest you can apply to a career and a relatively high level of intelligence, your income could soar above the rest.

I did not realize that post had to somehow validate anybodies presence or 'membership' at the board but your point is so noted. I doubt if you actually have very much life experience in personally being trivialized or dismissed for who you are.

Your presumption is noted; however, you would be wrong. That, and a protective streak a mile wide.

In Damon Runon's Guys and dolls, a character states, "The odds on any human endevor are 8 to 5 against."

That is close to, out of three tries, two fail. This is the normal state of humans.

If it is 1 in 10, I try a hunderd times, and try to stick with the 10 that worked.
