The reason why some people have darker skin is that there is a balance between the amount of pigmentation that is enough to save us from skin cancer to the amount of pigmentation that will allow us to absorb sunshine in northern climates....

In one way aspies would be less racist since we are prone to think more outside the box. In another way aspies would be more racist because they are more honest about what they think and feel. I guess considering both of those, aspies are just as racist as everyone else, no more no less.

I said PART, and DID mention the ideo of shelter and nutrition. Whites HAVE been in areas that could be colder and not quite as sunny. As areas got sunnier, people tended to have darker skin. But HEY, WHO KNOWS?

I very, very strongly disagree with the notion that people on the spectrum are less apt to be racist, and this forum is largely responsible for my views on this topic. I'm Jewish and have seen some of the most offensive anti-Semitic crap I've ever seen has been on these very boards. I've noticed cringe-inducing comments about other ethnic groups as well. I don't see any solid evidence to support the notion that people on the spectrum are somehow "less racist."
