And then that leads to the slippery slope of better parents are the parents with more money and poor people are bad parents. Which isn't a correct assumption, but nonetheless one that everyone seems to have.

Would I personally have made the choices she has? No. And clearly she probably has some underlying issues. What I said was, I don't hate her. And yes, there are MANY people that do hate her. She's had death threats and even on THIS forum people have said vile nasty things about her and called her names. Is that really necessary? Why do people view that as acceptable behavior? Its not! You simply DO NOT have to treat other human being with this little respect. I used to come here because I felt a connection with the people in this forum.. but lately I feel like you're all just as cold and harsh and uncaring as the rest of the world, and thats pretty damn sad.

Have a discussion. Talk about things. Disagree. But why does it have to get so nasty? And why the intolerance for other peoples opinions?

the only thing I have a slight problem with is the number of foetuses implanted at the same time- it just seems unhealthy and risky, and above all unprofessional, but it's the doctors that are to blame, not the mother.

I agree there.
Given many professionals have stated its a higher number then they'd ever implant, I'd say he's probably going to get in trouble somewhere. The government is investigating him and his procedures.

OK, I can relate, in a way, ALSO. I was ALSO an only child. MY mother was actually told NOT to have any more kids, because I was so large, and took too much of a toll on her during the pregnancy. What a shame, and ironic. TO THIS DAY I believe the lack of a sibling stunted me socially.

STILL, the woman YOU spoke of had kids WITHOUT being able to, OR WANTING TO, take care of them! That is SICK! 14 is FAR too large for simply a "large" family.

She was hoping to get the same stuff? As I said, it is RIDICULOUS that ANY have! The OTHERS were unlucky, AND WILLING AND ABLE to take care of those they expected! ALSO, as more get them, they become less of a novelty, and fewer will get such gifts. If *I* were to have a family, I would make sure I had the resources, I would have a wife, I would provide for times I was away. I ALREADY said how I would want a wife willing to take care of such things. Don't think I would be one that wouldn't have any interaction with the kids though. I bet I would LOVE it. I would also shoot for FOUR AT MOST! If we even got TWO, that would be fine. One girl and a boy would be perfect. 2 girls and 2 boys might even be better. I figure they could learn how to get along and better survive outside the family, and an even number of either would get rid of many sexist things, depression, etc.....

HEY, I know a family that had NINE kids. I know a few larger ones, of course, but the one with 9 is one I know a lot about. They had ONE child. When she was older, they had some more kids. Their earlier daughter helped take care of the others. They had some more. They ended up with 9. ALL seemed happy and healthy. BTW They had a big home, savings, were UPPER middle class, AND, of course, they were married. BTW they actually BOTH stayed at home and took care of kids. The father was a technical writer.

BTW My mother was MARRIED, had a good job. The company was a strong company with a good retirement plan, etc... It is still around. My father had potential, and ended up taking almost exactly the same route as Ross Perot. He didn't do QUITE as well, but he did do VERY well. They both wanted to care for me.

So my ideal, my life, and one of the largest families I know has NOTHING to do with that IDIOT!

Well, I am fighting to stay OFF of the public dole. I paid a LOT of money into it. If I went on it it would NOT be by choice. And she didn't have a kid by accident. She didn't have just a few kids. Your argument is just ridiculous and pointless.

She basically made ME a partner in her scams, etc... I get a portion of ALL the problems, and NONE of any benefits. So she did NOT simply make a decision. She obligated ME to pay more.

I heard at one point that they generally implant about 4 for every child wanted.(But WHO wants to have 3 kids at the risk of having as many as 12?) They THEN abort the ones that are less viable.(Later in the pregnancy) The reason for implanting so many, is that it is easier/cheaper to do more at a time, and most are EXPECTED to fail. They abort when they find too many have implanted.

That woman said she didn't want to "selectively abort".

As for it being unhealthy, etc... A small fetus will have almost NO toll on the body. Even 8 would be fine. But one close to the end of term? I would think even FOUR would be expecting a lot. Surely, EVERYONE has noticed that there is often a direct correlation between amount, size, and viability. As the number goes up, especially with really large numbers, the size goes down, and the viability goes down as well. Frankly, if I were the father, I would want no more than 8 implants, or 4 kids.

yeah well it's the female that carries the foetuses, so I guess you wouldn't have much to say :p

One thing about it, she couldn't complain later, if she had too many. I wouldn't pay for more than 8 either! One more thing, there IS a chance it would be normal, and the odds of having 8 kids in one pregancy naturally are almost zero. Like I said, I have NEVER heard of it happening.

So I think 99.9% of us seem to think the same thing... This woman is an idiot to try and raise that many kids on her own without a means of support. I said it before, but I certainly hope she doesn't turn out to be on the spectrum, as I don't want her image tarnishing an already bad looking name. I don't want people thinking worse of us than they already do.

1. HUMANITY. Ironically, Liberals REALLY don't care! I DO!
2. Financial Impact. Ironically, Liberals REALLY don't care! I DO! Non Americans THINK they are immune, because there is no direct payment and, SEEMINGLY, no indirect payment. There IS though.
3. OTHER Impact, such as ecological, etc... AGAIN, liberals REALLY don't care!
4. Any association with such IDIOTS, and things they may encourage!

All Liberals seem to do is think either "I don't care, leave her alone, OTHERS will pay" or "KA-CHING! MORE VOTES!"! Meanwhile, they will BERATE conservatives saying they are HEARTLESS and should "mind their own business". HEY, make it so it isn't my DIRECT business(remove #2), and I will overlook the rest, even though IT is my business also! DEAL!?!?!? I will probably only live another 30-40 years anyway.
