More about my situation.
No I am not, and you have my sincere sympathy. That's what this forum is for - a place to connect with others who understand the difficulty of living with autism, and want to offer our encouragement and support.
If that is of value to you, then please know we are here to listen, and we truly do care about your struggles. But you'll find that people will be more sympathetic if you stop berating us for failing to provide an unrealistic level of in-person help.
Sorry to be technical:
He was at a type of "group home" where people with disabilities live together under supervision. There is medical staff in these homes---but it's not a "nursing home." Most of the time, if something serious happens with their health, an ambulance must be called.
People in group homes, if they are able, are required to keep their area clean, do various chores, sometimes cook for themselves, etc.
...I am only asking for help
.
Once upon a time, I had a home, and a family, and a room. I just want to remember them

Ash spoke to me and I responded.
I am not talking about college or improved tech skills, Ezra, you keep harping upon it.
Hypothetically, IF someone took on the burden of storing your stuff, what exactly is going to change about you and your situation in what amount of time that's going to somehow make you able to go rent a storage locker any differently than you could do tomorrow or next week?
Probably not much, if anything. So, chances are if someone takes on that stuff they're going to be stuck with it forever.
If you think you'll be able to go rent a storage locker "soon," then you can do it Now.
email the lawyer and tell him you're in the process of renting a storage spot for the stuff and will get back to him with the address to ship it to just as soon as it's set up.
Get your check, go rent a space (or reserve one online if possible, or over the phone, or with the help of a local social worker or soup kitchen volunteer or local church charity person or whoever is right beside you at the rehab place) & get on with solving your problem.

Which sounds to me like you will never be able to set up some place where you can store any personal possessions.
You begged and pleaded for it for pages and pages saying how deeply important it is to you and how badly you want it. Now apparently all that is to be forgotten and is no longer an issue.

No, you aren't.
You've been offered and given all sorts of helpful advice.
You're asking for someone's time, money, and space for an undetermined amount of time. That's not help. That's trying to take advantage of someone else' limited resources with your sob story instead of having to solve your own problem yourself.

You are asking some autistic person to give you their name, home address and phone number.
To store stuff until you set up a place on your own, when you make it clear that you setting up anything is out of your reach and will blow up on you etc.
Plus you are now saying this is only a small amount of stuff kept by a patient at a nursing home.
I'm sorry, but none of this seems make any sense whatsoever.
i feel that this is quite enough.
we've come close enough to personal attacks here and i don't feel that there is anything left to be said.
OP, while we are sympathetic to your situation - the type of assistance you are requesting is for the most part, beyond the scope of what people on the internet can reasonably provide. please keep this in mind before you start a new thread on the subject.
