That nerdy, socially awkward guy on CSI who normally works in the lab, and whose mom has been romantically interested in the under sheriff Conrad.
Sorry, I can't recall his name.

I think Velma from scooby-doo is a sufferer. she has mediocre social skills and an obsession with mysteries.

I may have said this sometime before on this thread, but I would make mention of Cliff Clayvon on Cheers. Not only can he spew out facts non-stop, but he's also socially inept.

most of cliff's facts are a load of hogwash

I always found her more attractive than Daphne. Dunno - - I guess I just like nerdy girls with short, curvy builds. Plus, I really like that short pleated skirt with knee high socks and bare thighs.

Dr. Buckman from The Mote in God's Eye.

He's got a huge "encompassing preoccupation with one or more stereotyped and restricted patterns of interest that is abnormal either in intensity or focus"... if it's not related to (natural) astrophysics, it doesn't matter to him.

He lost interest in an unusually large clump of asteroids when he found out that aliens moved them all there and they didn't get there through some previously unknown astrophysical process.

He was excited about the chance to see a star from inside its outer layers, and mentioned that it would be unfortunate if the shielding failed, since it would destroy the equipment and observation records. He had to think some more before realizing that it would also kill him and everyone else on the ship.

And his view of other humans is summed up with this line: He thought Bury was crazy, but then he thought everyone was crazy.

Although it's been already discussed before and the majority was against the idea but I strongly believe that Oliver Twist in Dickens's classic novel has at least some autistic traits. He stands out, can not fit in, he is naive, runs in dificulties with his literal-mindedness several times (before the board, at Fagin's), has at least one emotional outburst (at Noah Claypole).

Come to think of it every human member of mystery inc except Daphne probably has it.

Shaggy has about as many social skills as if not fewer than Velma and despite being of normal intellect comes off as a total doofus because of his awkward behavior. this is coupled with his obsessive interest and knowledge of food and movies

Fred has zero social skills a needy personality and an obsession with traps and rube goldberg contraptions.

[quote="Ganondox"]This might be a stretch, but here it is: Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Through out the series she just appeared as a nerd without much social skills, but a lot of confidence. However, in the Episode Lesson Zero, whIch just came out today, it pretty obvious that she was being written with some sort of mental disorder, at least in that episode. Most people says it's OCD, but some says its Aspergers, and I'm going with Aspergers as she acts more aspie than OCD throughout the series, she acts more autistic than OC in parts of the episode, and all her OC acts could be explained with Aspergers.[/quote

She is also very naive so yeah

Here's my suspicions:

Daria - I felt so similar to her it was odd.
Lilo - They're beaaaaauuuuuutiful! *dances to music that's age inappropriate*
Huey Freeman - Random martial arts knowledge, Black History Savant, Revolutionary, Socially Inept with relation to others...
Fred Jones(Mystery Inc.) - TRAPS! TRAPS! Hey guys... let's make a TRAP! Oh hi Daphne.

I list these characters because I feel their traits are very strong (and similar to myself) but there have been some other great mentions in this thread.
Osaka from Azumanga Daioh and Butters from Southpark are also great mentions.

Don't forget Velma and Shaggy.

She might have been mentioned before, Gadget Hackwrench from Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. She has zero social skills and an exceptional talent in mechanics. Also, she looks nice:
