Short answer:

Yes, you can join the U.S. military with Aspergers. HOWEVER, if you were diagnosed after the age of 18, you will need to apply for a mental health waiver, which means you're asking the military to consider you despite being disqualified.

I don't recommend lying about an official diagnosis. If you enlist and they find out, you will be discharged under "fraudulent enlistment."

In 1988 I told them I had ADHD they had told me not worry about it because I did so well on my military aptitude tests (ASVAB). One of the drill sargeants told me he had ADHD too.
