I find it harder when I'm somewhere where I can't go home when I please. If I'm at a party somewhere local, I can stay there until I start becoming overwhelmed and ''exhausted'' of putting on a front, and I could just come home. But if I'm somewhere far and they've arranged someone to drop me off home, I have to sit there and wait 'til they are ready, even though it's past my ''party limit''. I feel rude just asking them to take me home right now, because they might be having a good time and might not want to leave 'til they're ready, so I've just got to endure the rest of the night.
Another thing - I'm a day person. If I'm going to take part at a social event, I like to do it in the daytime, rather than at night. When it's night time, I like to be tucked up in bed, or just hiding away in my room in the evenings. I like to be out and about more in the day. I don't like the dark (I'm not scared of it, I just find it bleak), I'll prefer sunlight, when there's more activity going on in the streets.
Don't take this personally if you have kids but the only good thing about being out and about (and on buses) at night time is there ain't so many screaming brats about!
