This is an odd question. Having Asperger's doesn't mean you don't have preferences, ability to choose what you like or any decision making abilities.

No! It is not permitted.

That's right. And if you do choose a favourite colour, you will lose your diagnosis forthwith. It states in the DSM:

Quote:
Qualitative impairment in abilities to choose favourite things;
Evidence of lifelong impairment in colour choosing abilities;
Lack of reciprocity when asked about favourite colour;
encompassing preoccupation with not recognising your favourite colour;
Stereotyped behaviours in avoiding choosing a favourite colour;
Failure to develop preferences in colour choosing;
Lack of spontaneously seeking to share evidence of your favourite colour.

If you find you are able to choose a favourite colour, and in childhood there was evidence of not having been able to do so, this means you have developed sufficiently to no longer be eligible for a diagnosis.

If you can choose three favourite colours, but not narrow it down to one, you may qualify for a PDD-NOS diagnosis.
:lol:

I am fond of many shades of green and pink, although not at the same time.

Not me. I like a combo of colors black and yellow, red and black, orange and black. Maybe it's the contrast of colors or the blending of colors. I like the way the green pine trees look against the colbolt blue skies of Colorado. I need a point of reference when dealing with things of this nature. Maybe I over analyze things.

Love all shades of yellow, especially when I see it on heavy equipment. But the old John Deere yellow is my favorite with Caterpillar yellow coming in second.

My favorite colors are red and black.
To be honest "favorite" isn't the right word. Red and black is my obsession. I collect red and black things.
All my clothes are red and black, my carpet is red and black, my bed and bedding are red and black, my sofa too, my phone, my tablet wallpaper, all decorations in my room, my notebooks... Whenever I see something red and black I feel an urge to buy it. LOL

I don't have a favorite color, but there are some combinations I like, and there are also some colors I feel work better for different purposes and places. For example, I would never dream of owning a chartreuse car, but a chartreuse chasuble (priest vestment) is lovely.

As for the house, I prefer materials to express their own color or texture, but when I have to paint the walls I go for darker colors because they make the rooms feel cozier. I once painted my bedroom a chocolate/maroon color, which was very womblike. It was very comforting.
