So let's have beans at every meal!

Beans are not fruit. They are legumes.
The first two lines should be changed to:
Beans, beans, the great legume
the more you eat, the more you fume.

I KNOW beans are legumes. You're not getting the humor in the rhyme. Sheesh!

Beans don't make you fart. That is just a myth.

they sure as s**t make ME fart. and it isn't an ordinary polite fart, either- but a sour, foul, boiling gaseous emission full of roiling sulfurous intensity that quakes my guts.

And legumes are fruits, according to Merriam Webster:

"the fruit or seed of plants of the legume family (as peas or beans) used for food"

The very best joke is an old "urban myth"/"real story" about the Queen Mother of the United Kingdom. But, I will let Billy Connolly describe it thusly (at 2:20 into the video), if you choose to watch and listen:

In my job, we look forward to hearing toots - especially in surgery patients. "You will not offend; Toots are our friend" is what I say! :D

The sound makes me laugh but not watching people stick their bums out and purposely farting to be funny. If it smells it's definitely not funny.
