No they don't. Though I'm not that smart to begin with, peoples tend to be impress by my supposed "intelligence", but no fear I'm aware off. (I'm certainly not smart compared to a lot of peoples here...)

What that suppose to mean? :?

He/she might be trying to communicate that he/she has an IQ that has been tested (or that he/she otherwise believes to be) at or above the 99th percentile :?

Egocentric people seem to have reason to fear.

Heck, there may be someone better - smarter, more successful, and even better looking than they are.

Otherwise what is there really to fear, that someone's brain may provide an easier or insightful way to do something?

I am using my superior intelligence to frighten people at work right now...

I'm not sure superior intelligence alone is enough to frighten people - especially if it is packaged in kindness and/or modesty.

I think it would be more likely to frighten/psychologically threaten people when it is packaged with (the value judgements of) disdain or contempt.

Our directness and lack of tact can be misinterpreted as this - but just occasionally we might actually feel this way about some people that we meet.

I don't think anyone fears me for any reason. In person, I think I come across as more unhinged than intelligent. All I need is a laugh to go along with my reptilian jaws.

I didn't say reason with me, I said fear me!

I wouldn't say they "fear" me, rather they "use" me for my brain. Every time we have a quiz on something, everyone wanted me on their team. (this was mainly in primary - at high school everyone wants to be with their friends) I know they only wanted me for my brain because as soon as the quizzes were over, they'd go back to not being my friends and talking about me "behind my back"
