people have refered to me as "cute" very often. in my daily life i rarely ever talk to people unless the topic of conversation is of interest to me and the conversation itself reveals a lack of knowledge of the participants on the very topic. being most widely silent can create a false impression of shyness in people who do not know me. i also do not talk about myself (and therefor will not mention being bisexual or an atheist or my degrees or my interests or liking drugs or disliking human company and personal things like this) unless i am asked or the conversation demands it. people have often reacted with great surprise upon being given such information about me or me commenting on their discussion. they told me that i look remarkably "cute", "young" and "innocent" and when they learn that im a grumpy old neuroscientist instead and not the "cute teenager" that my appearance seems to suggest i am it takes them a while to form a consistent idea of me. as for gender, i have been informed that i look "androgynous" as well as "girly" (apparently in the sense of being "pretty" whatever thats worth). i would not go as far as to correlate visual "cuteness" to aspergers, but it would seem to me as if quite a number of aspies on this site happen to look very young for their age.

I get called cute a lot.

Seems likely that a lot of aspies get called cute. We've even selected an affectionate nickname for Asperger's syndrome that I find a lil Cute: Aspie...

I have been referred to as "cute" by people who don't know me.

Those who do know me refer to me by names I cannot repeat.

I get this alot as well. "Cute" and also "pretty", I get people saying I'm either or both rather often. Occaisionally I'll get mistaken for the opposite gender as well, which just adds to the whole thing.

I look like this:

Apparently I also look alot younger than I actually am, so that's another thing I hear often.

Oh, people call me cute all the time, which I just don't see. I feel more dorky then anything. But I do look physically younger. At 24, people usually think I'm still in high school, and sometimes even middle school. Though as someone else mentioned, even when they do know my age, a lot of adults still tend to look out for me, which is nice I guess because I tend to get lost a lot and often am not sure of what I am supposed to do...

For me yes. For one, I still get mistaken for a teen and Im 23. I'm asian, being cute is often closely associated with asian girls. Im socially immature and come off as someone much younger who happens to be very smart. I've had people forget how old I really was. My prof questioned my age once asking me if I was still a teen even tho I was a senior in college. And he claimed i had the maturity of a 12 yr old. I once got questioned how old in a college class this past yr. She thought I looked too young to be in college. And I've had friends that treated me more like a little sister even though they were the same age as me.

People tend to think of me as cute. Part of why my social status surged when I entered an all-girls environment. Maybe I spark their maternal instincts.

I've been called "cute" before by friends and family. I usually get this from my sense of humor, kindness, intelligence, and occasional awkwardness or naivety. There was one time a girl in my school felt my hands and said "Your hands are cold". I looked at her and said "Yeah, my hands are always like that", she then said "That's kinda cute". I was a bit confused, how are cold hands cute?

Some people seem to think I'm "cute." In fact, just last week, I went to get my hair cut, and the hairdresser asked me if I was in school, and when I replied that I'm 20 years old and a junior in college, she was surprised - she said that I had a "baby face" and that I looked as if I couldn't be older than a high school student. I'm actually more used to people mistaking me as being older than I am, but whatever.

Let's see: mohawk, facial piercings, beard. Probably not 'cute' I would say. The look does do wonders for avoiding eye contact in the street though. It turns out if you look like that, people tend to avoid making eye contact themselves...makes my life easier!

I don't get cute.

I get "intense" or "cold" or "irritated."

I'm never cold, I AM intense, but in a good way, and I only get irritated at over-stimulation. Oh well. People can think what they want.
