Can somebody tell me how the voice/face recognition test was scored? What did the percentages mean? How is it that the NT percentages were lower than the ASD ones? I got an 82.2 on both of them, anybody able to tell me whether that's good or bad?

Hello I'm new here. I have been reading about aspergers lately and I think it is possible that I have it. Not sure if I want to see a doctor, I'm not really looking for treatment. I'm 27 and have managed to function this long.. Here's my results according to your tests.

RITVO
Total: 190
Language: 15
Social Relatedness: 79.0
Sensory/ Motor: 54.0
Circumscribed interests: 42.0

FRIENDSHIP QUOTIENT
47.0

AUTISM SPECTRUM
Score: 36.0
AQ10 score: 9.0

READING THE MIND IN FILMs
13.0 out of 22 in 9 seconds

FACES/VOICES
51.0%
Faces: 36.0%
Voices: 66.0%

What do ya'll think? Would it be worth going to see someone? If only for confirmation?

Welcome to WP. Your test results certainly seem to indicate that you are probably on the autistic spectrum. Getting an assessment, even an informal one can be difficult. If you feel strongly enough about it then go for it.

Either way you can hopefully use this to help understand yourself better and how to manage any problems you may have.

Thanks RazorEddie. Yeah I'm not really sure what I would have to gain by getting an assessment at this stage. I've had issues with anxiety & depression in the past but I seem to have a pretty good handle on my brain these days & more of an ability to step outside of things and see things for what they are. Its a relief in someways to be able to put a name on it, in other ways I don't want it to become something that I use as an excuse.

Thanks for this site! It is very helpful.
I took 3 tests and everything went well.

I've noticed a typo: when you click on "The Cambridge Mindreading Face-Voice Battery - Part 1 (Voices)", the title says ""The Cambridge Mindreading (CAM) Face-Voice Battery - Part 2: Voice task" instead of part I. And in the result section the link to the original research paper leads to "Reading the mind in films"...

(I also find it funny that the NT females who took the voice-face test scored 35.5% for voices task)

Interesting.

Ritvo - 188.0
Friendship Quotient - 69.0
AQ - 39.0 (variously, I've scored between 39 and 43)

However...

Reading the mind in films - 13.0 out of 22 in 6.8 seconds
Faces/Voices - 77.0% in 8.8 seconds. Faces: 82.0% Voices: 72.0%

Thanks for letting me know. I'll fix those.

This is probably an anomaly due to the very small sample size at the moment. Hopefully as more people take the tests the scores will even out a bit more.
