Sorry to bump this old thread, I just ran across this and remembered how it was relevant to the discussion here. Pretty interesting - it matched my intuition on the subject. I remember someone saying Einstein had Aspie traits too.

This all sounds very very dodgey and likely not at all scientific to me. I base this impression on the use of religion, destiny, 'open mindedness' as opposed to scientific rigour, vague unspecified dangers, vagueness in general and expected widespread ridicule. I find it impossible to take the post at all seriously given this. If I am wrong about all that, then it is probably important that the OP knows that is how the idea is comming across to me and likely some others. There are even some alarming resemblences to the way open-minded/nieve people are indoctrinated into cults and the like here. Again, I suspect that is not what is going on but all the posts from the OP give the impression of leaning more towards that direction than towards serious science/fact.

All this is not meant as an attack but, to state it again, a warning that this is the distinct impression I (and likely others) are left with so being taken seriously may be difficult without just being open and honest.

I think you need to remember at the heart of all this, is OP's (perhaps very genuine) fear about people in positions of authority/power not wanting the dissemination of the information for nefarious reasons. He does say this repeatedly, so until we know otherwise we have to trust him on this.

I believe there is a lot of corruption and misuse of power and things covered up and kept behind the scenes from the masses, so it's not such a stretch, or doesn't deem OP paranoid if he has reason to believe he is at jeopardy if he disseminates information prematurely.

Try to be open-minded. OP has not invited anyone into a cult or done anything dodgy, he is just playing his cards close to his chest and asking advice.

Does this have anything to do with UFO's?
