14/20. I thought all but one looked fake, but I also thought some of them looked fake in a way that I thought probably should pass for genuine (they are all faked after all). I got all the fake ones right and misjudged six genuine to be fake.

11/20 which surprises me, because I generally think of myself as prety good at picking up fake smiles. Which I suppose I am, because all the ones I got wrong where genuine ones I thought were fake. I guess that makes me a pessimist?

Not autistic at all, but brainweird in a lot of different ways and, besides, I like it here.

16/20 because I know what to look for; it's all in the crinkle of the eyes.

It's easier when you take note of the very beginning and ending of the video. I noticed on some of the videos they would go from :| to :D to :| very abruptly. I probably would have gotten docked more if they did better job at editing.

15/20
Exactly. The smile itself could be anything because the whole "mask" contracts, but the "before" and "after" was too obvious to make a good cheating.

This thread came to mind the other day, so I'm glad it has been revived, as I was reluctant to do so.

This is something I've been thinking of lately. I wonder if NTs are worse at it than us? I kinda think they wanna ignore the fakeness and focus on smoothing over and pretend, while we are more preoccupied with whether or not something is genuine.
I wouldn't call that pessimism, I think it's a good thing to have an eye for whether something is fake. Especially for us.

As I said in this thread half a year ago: I thought some of them looked fake in a way that I thought probably was supposed to pass for genuine (they are all faked after all), the same way a none too skilled actor might play it.

Me too. I got same score and I've read a book about body language so I knew to look at their eyes.

I got a 17/20, but only because I know to look for wrinkles around the eyes. Without this knowledge, I would've done much worse.

I surprised myself by getting 17/20-I thought I'd score much worse. All of the ones where they looked like they were laughing I selected as genuine and the ones where their faces changed back to neutral abruptly I selected as fake. The other ones I guessed.

15 out of 20

What the... I have no idea how I even did that! I expected almost everything to be wrong. I'm going to be honest and admit that I probably guessed roughly 3/4 of the test and suspected something at 1/4 only.

When I saw a slight hint of a smile before the smile, I just assumed it was genuine, but the fact these clips were so short made it really hard for me, one could say, in the very most videos I couldn't see at all if the corners of the eyes were involved or not. :?
