Should they have closed the thread?
Yes they should 55%  55%  [ 6 ]
I don't like the song BUT they have no business closing it either 18%  18%  [ 2 ]
I think it is a cool song actually. Definitely closing it was a mistake. 27%  27%  [ 3 ]

Then why do it in the first place? Your initial statement was a faux pas, on many levels.
Are you perhaps so eager to become a moderator yourself, that you throw all good judgment to the wind, by sniping at complete strangers hoping to cast them in a negative light? You cannot publicly make the statement you made without attracting comment.

Hilarious! Actually, my views on that are well known. I have turned down admin positions on various sites. I'm just not interested in all that power BS.

I'm fairly sure you have some mod-type access here. I can't be certain, but I think I remember your name in association with a mod-type post, and having seen moderator over your avatar. Yeah MrMark is the latest mod. I did infact see that he locked the
thread in question till Alex reviewed it I guess. MrMark is usually
pretty reasonable.
