I can't handle warm drinks, they gotta be ice-cold for me to drink them without gagging.

I can't stand the taste, smell, texture or appearance of white bread. It makes me gag. When I was little my mom would try to get me to eat fried bread. The only way I would eat it is if the crust was cut off, and the bread was cut into little bite size shapes and fried to a crisp.

I don't eat sandwiches, unless it's on something like a ciabatta roll, and then it has to be only plain chicken or turkey, or bacon and eggs, and maybe, MAYBE a thin slice of tomato but only if the tomato has been heated. Nothing else. And the bread has to be lightly toasted in a frying pan in butter and olive oil. The whole sandwich has to be hot. It's so much trouble to make one the way I like it, that I dread the effort and rarely do it.

Huh, I never knew eating fast was a spectrum trait. I've always eaten incredibly fast--I barely chew my food, which used to lead to a lot of chocking incidents when I was younger. Even when I try to eat slow, I still finish my meal first. I've also always had a hard time not wearing my food. I do not wear white due to the fact that it will get ruined by food falling off my fork, spoon, or out of my mouth. I have to hunch over; sitting up properly is a guaranteed to cause me to make a mess. Anyone else have this problem of wearing their food?

My memory is a little fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure it took a long time to be broken out of chewing with my mouth open or talking with food in my mouth, because I still catch myself doing both

I can't drink milk. It leaves a nasty film in my palate that makes me gag. My hot food has to be hot and cold food cold--middling temperatures are a big no-no.

Reading your post made me think of how good that would be and my stomach growled. Now I'm hungry

-I am highly selective when it comes to food. I get disgusted when I think about most foods and their textures and/or smells, so there are only a few kinds of foods that I can eat.
-I am very messy when I eat even though I am an annoyingly clean person. I always get crumbs everywhere or spill something on myself no matter how hard I try.
-I hunch over when I eat, but I hunch over all the time.
-I used my teeth to take food off of forks instead of using my lips, probably because I don't like things being on my mouth/face.
-I chew with my mouth open a lot. It's hard not too.
-I eat extremely slowly and usually can't even eat half of my meal.
-I pull my food apart to eat it. One of the only foods I like is hamburgers and people laugh at me when I eat them because I'll heat half of it, then tear the rest in half, then eat everything but the outer edges of the burger. I can't eat it any other way.
-I also cannot eat when people are watching me. My siblings used to exploit this at the breakfast table and would stare at me until I cried.
-I can't eat messy foods (ribs, pork chops- anything that will leave something on my hands or mouth after I take a bite). My parents used to think it was funny that as a child I would wipe my face and hands after each bite I took of food. I still do that and they just think it's weird.
-My food can't touch.

The list goes on. I dread having to go out to eat with people because there is only a slim chance that I will like any of the food served there and a 100% chance that the people I'm eating with will notice and comment on my strange habits. It's embarrassing.

I'm another picky eater, and I like eating the same kind of food everyday. I don't like it when my food touches, and for some food-stuff, I got specific plates and cups. And I eat my bread in a circle.

as a kid, I got picked on for eating my sandwiches in a circle, I just don't understand the mentality that would see anything wrong with this.

Neither do I. I did the same thing--one must eliminate the crust to get to the important stuff.

Yep, I do that! I don't see why everyone else doesn't-- the best part is in the middle cause it has the most condiments, why not save it for last, you know?

Because, as you say, you save the best part for last. And in countries with good bakeries, thats the crispy crust of the bread. So you start eating sandwiches at the bottom of the bread, where the bread touched the pan and is not as crispy, then you eat the middle and save the best thing, the fresh crispy upper crust for last. ^^

- eating too slowly (now today it's the opposite!)

I believe I did the same. You make me remember I was alerted some years ago I used teeth instead of lips, too. Nice remembering people don't like it.

I have always mixed certain foods together. Dip banana in my yogurt, put yogurt on my bagel. Eat foods that most people use utensils for, such as plain pasta. I would rather use a spoon then a fork for most things, such as mash potatoes and most vegetables. I eat Nutty Butters by pulling each layer of the wafer apart instead of like most people do. I prefer to eat anywhere besides a dinning table. Mostly by holding it in my lap or while laying in bed. My mom never corrected me on these bad habits.

I like mixing PB with butter and chocolate. I cannot handle sweet things together with salty things, with the exception of sweet and salty chocolate. that means no pineapple on my pizza, thank you very much!

(I'm kinda late here but) it's really cool to see a little stranger eating habits are common here!

I can't eat from tablespoons and when drinking I don't pour the drink into my mouth and then swallow, I kinda suck it in like with a straw just without the straw?? I also prefer to not sit with my legs down
