I'll vote for this motion.

I miss pre 2016 wp.

I wonder what might have caused that.

It's hard to maintain a positive impression of folks who are militant supporters of a rabid racist; you're certainly not the only person within that group who's had people withdraw from them but it's hard to blame the people who withdraw for not wanting to associate with people who are active supporters of his based on what he represents.

Treat others as you wish to be treated.
Isabell and rel don’t like trump but they still my friends, they still care about me and they don’t treat me like s**t over it.
I treat kraft nicely even though he supports people who’d throw me in jail if they had their way for just using my constitutional rights, he hasn’t attacked me for voting for trump either. We disagree on things but still are kind and supportive to each other.
If you see anyone who doesn’t vote for the party or politician as your deep hated enemy than that’s a bad issue you should fix.
That you support horrible attacks on people who vote for trump is upsetting. Even after others telling them they were in the wrong they never apologized and instead doubled down. Makes me wonder if they’re the type who would punch someone for looking like a trump supporter in public like I’ve seen many express on twitter and Facebook and even here on wp.

Should I go around punching anyone who looks like a liberal? Should I say horrible things to all the leftists here?
No personal attacks are wrong. All they’ve done is show they liars. They pretend to be kind to all but they aren’t.

Soldiers can have compassion for their enemy who mins before tried to kill them but average Americans can’t have compassion for other Americans. It’s sad.

Should I and others then rabidly attack them? Or respect their right to freedom to think how they want and treat them the same way we’d like to be.

Indeed it is.
I've come across this a few times now and seen how arguments are swayed because of it.

All I will say is that if someone pms you (as in anyone) with "context" about a thread you are both participating in, it's a good idea to question why they've done that, some people have no issue with using others like a marionette.
Context provided in the open is much more reliable.

Could we please move on from the political commentary on other users? That wasn’t what the thread was made for, never mind the personal attacks and such.

Is this a personal attack on someone who has absented themselves publically and therefore isnt here to contradict your assertion about her character?

Could this be baiting others to respond in her defence aka stirring up animosity?

All I know is the 2016 and on Sweetleaf and she seems like a good person, perhaps a person that said some things in anger and now regrets it. To me it does look like baiting in an attempt to provoke her or others into an argument which seems to be exactly what he got.

Yeah, that's about it...all I can really do is when I return is try to avoid posting if I feel angry or triggered about something.

I certainly wasn't trying to 'attack' Sly, he was just coming of uncaring and yes kind of ignorant about George Floyds murder and I had just watched the video of the murder. I should have waited till I was more calm to go in a thread about it and maybe instead addressed points made in the post instead of going on an emotional appeal rant of 'why don't you even care grrr bla bla bla you're ignorant' like an angsty teenager.

Sometimes I think my autism is worse than I've initially thought...

That's not conducive to a community environment though, there is more to an Autistic support site than American politics.

That isn't really what I am questioning, I still think he's wrong on that topic, but by raging like that I only prevented myself from refuting anything. Whereas had I been more civil I may have actually been able to refute/debate some things and make some points.

^Thank you for this well considered response Sweetleaf - we need to live and let live despite our differences. We need to be especially kind otherwise we're just like the mean NT's we're always complaining about. This isn't a place for bullying, however repulsive some opinions might appear. I'm sorry this thread somehow got politicized when you posted in GAD and thus did not intend this to get off topic.

For context due to removed posts this was a response to a now deleted post by Cberg, and not a response to Sweetleaf as it now appears to be.

Yes, like I know I made a couple bad posts.......granted both of those were different one was a response to feeling bullied but as I have stated it was very wrong of me to go as far to say what I did and yes it was an attack and I was wrong for doing it. THe other one well, I still am not sure I agree that saying someone is being ignorant is personal attack but regardless still seems using that term upsets some people deeply so I will try to avoid using that term and instead just address points I disagree with without using the word ignorant. For one I guess it offends people and also I guess to some it means the same thing as being called a racist or nazi. I thought it just meant lacking on some of the facts...I had no idea saying someone being ignorant was the same as calling them a nazi or racist. I still maintain I do not think sly is a nazi or a racist, but still found the post I responded to ignorant..should have responded with less rage though.

Heck, I just have to post articles and I get called for it...

Not worth it after a while (anyway I've made zero friends on this forum (NT or autistic) and I've been here 9 years which is quite a remarkable achievement
