I once started a thread called "If you became Hitler" and I didn't even get banned. The 'Hitler' part was meant to be a joke because he got rid of a group of people and I was talking about if you could get rid of anyone who would it be. Some people complained about it but yet they still participated by posted what kind people they get rid of. Hypocrites.

i'd much rather be hated, i have found it over the past four years to be much better than being flat out ignored, but most people think i'm a troll anyway, and if i am, i am doing a damn good job of it

Lot of people seem to like to throw that word around because they don't like what someone says or they don't like their point of view or they just don't agree what they have said.

well i was banned here one time because i posted something that was pro-hitler or something so they called me a troll and had me banned

There seem to be people here who post AS-belittling rants under the guise of being for some "solution". But then they don't explain that solution, just unload some insults. But IMO that is not trolling because in some way they may be expressing frustration over being AS which is a legitimate thing to do. What is a bigoted attack? What is a personal attack? When we start arguing about what is good or bad about AS, that line can get blurry.

Perhaps the pro-Hitler thing was interpreted as an being definitely on the side of "genocidal"?

I have a big Q: Is it more insulting here to ignore/hate/pity someone you disagree with, or respond to their post and argue?

I'd rather none of them! Having had all four happen to me at different points of my life from different people.

I suppose if I must choose, pityed.

That's funny, b/c I'd rather be ignored if the arguer isn't interesting. So I'm totally self-centered in my posting behavior. I just want to write and write unless some great wit or insight makes me stop and say "cool"!

In the original post back in 2007:

Being liked and respected by some people is not out of the question. Being liked and respected by everyone is. I voted for ignored because I'd rather those who don't like and respect me ignore me.

If I answer out of an assumption that no one will like and respect me, I'd've answered differently. Being ignored by everyone would get way too lonely. But being ignored by those who don't like me, or who like me but can't seem to show it respectfully... heck yeah.

Yes, you are probably a little farther along in your social skills evolution than I am. I still don't ponder that other people really exist, so I don't expect that I have to try to flatter them or that I need others to acknowledge my existence.

I'll to go to charm school, eventually (or my version of it). But that's a little farther along in the verbal skills development program.

I've been all 4 and none are nice. But the difference is, today I can stand up for myself. In the past I couldn't do that. I suppose being ignored is the best. If I don't like someone (with good reason) that is what I tend to do as well and no fights are broken out. But one that I cannot stand is pity!! !

I suppose I'd rather be ignored. I'm already hated and have been disrespected plenty (oh, every damn day of my life, pretty much.) Can't say I'm fond of it.
And pity is something I see as just another form of disrespect.

So yeah, ignoring it is.

Negative views topic

Funny how I ignored this thread when I first joined a year ago. I am glad someone resurrected it.

All four are dysunctional, but they happen. Much of what I write on WP is disregarded, so I can say what I want with impunity. Like being a fly on the wall I can lurk and post and be invisible. This I like. :)

Of course, now someone will notice me and comment. Oh, well!! :P

I'm shaking my head at the ridiculousness of this poll.
If you are feeling any/all of the options on a continual basis, you're keeping the wrong company and you've gotta look at why you choose that.
Personally, I'd rather be hated. At least then you know exactly where you stand with the individual(s) in question and can erase them from your life.

Personally, mine isnt on there.... yo be just left alone, not ignored, as if I want you I will come to you, don't come to me and start rambling about nothing and expect to entertain me, I want you to be at my level. So either leave me alone or come to live on my level.
