I would laugh and try to clone new humans, become the new Prometheus as it were.

vampires. :)

i thought about it, but didn't mention that part.
Ideally I would actually prefer to to be part of a small group of socially akward people who were the only people left on the planet.

I think that grieving for those gone, which would be everyone, would be too uch for one person to take. The thought that every single person that you have ever met and known and liked in your life, have all died at the same time would probably drive you to the point of insanity almost immediately. I suppose in a way it is like the theory of immortality. Then again, if you are the sole survivor come armageddon, then are you not immortal?

Sadly enough, missing people hadn't even occured to me. I'm sure I wouldn't miss my family, or the 6 billion some people I've never known. The only people I'd really miss would be my friends, and they aren't so many that it would be too overwhelming. I think before starting my journey, I would gather up mementos of them to take with me.

I didn't mention being sad because I assumed the question concerned what I would do AFTER I got done mourning. I mean, "I would cry" wouldn't be a very entertaining answer, would it?

I'd go down to the car dealerships and drive all sorts of vehicles. Keeping whatever I wanted to. Eventually I'd grab an RV and travel abroad. But before that I'd go pick up a lap top and portable HDs, and get all the music, games, movies and books(on CD) I could want. I'd grab all the latest consoles and all the games for them as well. And all the real books I want.

After all the fresh foods have rotted I'd stock pile non perishable foods, and when I get tired of traveling find a farm and learn to grow some food. Hopefully livestock and game still exists, if so I'd learn to hunt and slaughter.

I imagine that eventually the power will fail, so I'd have to figure out how to keep it running or get me some solar and/or wind, maybe water, power sources.

All in all I'd stay busy, live comfortably, and eventually die.

I'd miss some people and probably cry once in awhile, but I wouldn't crack and kill myself.

1) Collect non-perishables from supermarkets.
2) Learn how to grow crops
3) Find the nearest zoo, bring a chimpanzee to my house, and become friends with it.
4) Try to learn how to fly a plane/helicopter.
5) Fly around the world visiting New York/Tokyo/Moscow/etc. with my new monkey friend, looking for survivors/anything interesting.

I'd kill myself.

You all do realize without humans, there be no electricity, nature takes over the buildings and streets eventually, buildings and houses fall apart due to no maintence. You wouldn't be able to use cars because there be no gas to pump it into your car unless you have this thing that pumps gas out of people's cars but you will eventually use up all the gas and you don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere if you run out. There be no one to call for help. You'd be on your own. Enjoy the long walk and find your way to break into another car when you find another one to use. Eventually tires deflate and how would you pump air back into it. There be no one to fix your car either when it needs it unless you know how to fix cars yourself but you will need the parts. Eventually everything runs out, things rusts, things mold, etc.
Food would rot and rodents take over eventually so the food would be gone eventually and there be no humans to deliver the food.

Watch Life After People that was on the history channel, it explains what happens to the world if humans all of a sudden disappeared. You can buy the DVD too at history.com.

I would probably find a generator, find a truck, horde fuel and food (not at all hard to come by assuming infrastructure is merely "abandoned")

Then I would probably play video games untill I died.

I'd do many things; but I know I'd spend time being free of human rule, which is a feeling I've always yearned for but never experienced.

Anyone reading this is being ruled right now. Can you feel it? I can. I hate it.

Pure and complete freedom; it doesn't exist anymore; imagine it; the mind boggles.

In a dark and twisted sort of way, a not insignificant part of me yearns for all of the humans to go away.

Good fortune,

- Icarus is the Omega Man...

I would live in a big city. Drive a solar powered car. Play gameboy. Look through houses. Eat all the food. Rollerblade around the city. Watch movies and Go looting!. When all the food has been depleted in that area i would move to a new city.

And they eventually run out of energy. Can you find a solar one?

go "shopping". take over someone's house, redecorate, gathr lots of tinned stuff, turn all nearby gardens into farming land for fruit, veg and weed, get every dvd, video game etc possible (id be using a generator for electricity, plenty of fuel stations where i live, and plenty of cars too) acquire some protection i.e air rifles, sword etc lots n lots of pillows, my bedroom would be pure pillows. gather first aid supplies. construct a water tank, get loadsa books, magazines and comic books. any sweets that will last a long time. wear strange, wacky improvised clothing of my own design. construct barbed wire fence to keep out any wild dogs, acquire a puppy to raise as my own dog for company and protection. id use candles for light, and open fires to cook.
